Powerball Lottery States Vote to Change GameReply
Sorry to rant, but one last reason this change is bad for Powerball. Before the change, Powerball had better odds than MegaMillions (130m:1 vs 120m:1). Now MegaMillions has a substantial advantage (130m:1 vs 146m:1). People on the border may decide to play MegaMillions over Powerball. I won't feel sorry for them if sales drop, especially since this change was motivated by greed on the part of the lottery officials and not on making the game better for the players. Seriously how could you have a scratch off game for 100 bucks and odds of winning one out of every 1.2, and then have the top prize 50 million dollars? People have no problem putting down a dollar for a huge dream. People arent going to put 100 bucks down for a 10 million to one odds to win 50 million or 100 million. This idea is a pipe dream. since i go by the if i am meant to, i will. if i am not, i won't ...i never pay any attention to the odds as they do not affect whether i win or lose. everytime i play, it becomes more of a 50 - 50 (1 in 2) chance that i will win...in fact, the way i feel about it is go ahead and stack the odds so deep against me that it is seems insurmountable. that way when i do win, it is even more apparent as to where' it came from. i say go ahead and make it a nice matrix reward for lower tier p

I would rather have ten 1 million dollar prizes offered at reasonable odds then one ten million dollar prize at horrible odds.
