The Great Lottery Revolt
No. Players know the odds when they buy tickets, provided there's no corruption, misrepresentation, fraud, flawed RNGs [allowing them to sell tickets for numbers that have zero chance of winning] or otherwise questionable practices on the part of the lottery operations. But the premise that lotteries are public institutions is valid. Lotteries should maintain public access to all records concerning their draw results, where the money went, how much was paid out and any other information inten

What is a lottery system? What distinguishes a lottery system from guesses, dreams and quick picks?
I'm not quite sure what Jimmy and VD's arguments are. More than once VD made the argument that no one could manipulate the outcome of a random event. Well, duh. I don't know who he was addressing because I've seen no such claim, and I highly doubt that any serious and reasonable lottery player would actually believe that anyone or any system could actually change the outcome of a draw. I think the best that one can claim is that their system is somehow helping them gain an edge over QP's or

STRAIGHT System for Pick 3
im sorry you feel that way about AA. dont kill the messenger those who r saying what they are saying at one point felt the same you do, thought AA was a good guy. with a passion for numbers... Interest In Backtesting and Simulating Lottery Systems
Simulation can only tell you how many tickets are likely to be sold before there is a winner not if that winner will be you. Because this simulation is based on random play, the result of a similar lottery simulation would show the what we can see on a lottery game's odds of chart . A pick-3 simulation could be 1000 QP bets on 50,000 drawings. The roulette chart here was based on 50,000 random gamblers each betting on 1,000 spins, using a RNG to produce all the data. The total amoun

New Jersey: 4/1 - 4/30/2011
Your assumption about plotting doubles/pairs/combinations is flawed/inaccurate. This kind of strategy often leads players to financial ruin plus it has nothing to do with statistical analysis. Here is why : there really is no way to plot doubles or otherwise simply because of hidden data in the form of pre-draws..most combinations that people feel are missing have already hit giving the player a false sense of security in placing their future bet. Time and time Ive tried to explain to p

Store Clerk Playing Unfair? Is This Legal?
It might have appeared that way ronnie, but there is no real way for clerks to do this (scroll up in this thread for more info). If it were the case, then clerks all over the country would be able to scan these and find big winners, then quit their jobs or live very comfortably. To scan and see a scratch off as a big winner, certain codes or numbers on the front of the code must be scanned and/or entered. That being said, if you ever buy a scratcher that already has numbers or codes scr

HOW TO WIN THE LOTTERY? Buy One Ticket.
Just because you limit yourself to X dollars per drawing has NO bearing whatsoever on if you will win the lottery or not. And to those that say your odds do NOT change if you buy more tickets, that is just wrong. I play 2 games every drawing, I used to play 10. Now, I can get 2 WB on one ticket, none on the other. Sometimes I get 3 on one ticket, and one on the other, and lately I am getting 3 WB on one, and a WB and a PB on the other, maybe, just maybe, one of these days I will get

What is a lottery system? What distinguishes a lottery system from guesses, dreams and quick picks?
The debate of Quick Picks versus System Picks is going no where because of the tie-up over QPs. QPs cost real money while an equal amount of predictions cost nothing. If QPs was changed to Random Picks then the debate could move forward without either side having to spend any real money. I suspect each side already know the outcomes of a few combinations posted at LP aren't going to change their minds because each side base their positions on their experancies over a longer period of time, some

Backtesting and Simulating Lottery Systems
Jimmy You've got to be kidding! Are you saying that picking so many digits to play needs some advanced math to calculate what the odds for matching 3,4,5 or more of them. Looks like another side step to me. RL
