Wash. Lottery considers adding third weekly drawing
Quinto never got to 21 million. The highest it got before the current drawing was 2.8 million. While the Oregon lottery has a slow growing pot - it does just that - it grows. The problem with the washington lottery is that it does NOT grow. Someone keeps hitting the jackpot before it hits even 3 million. Same problem with megamillions - it should grow to 300+ million but doesn't due to the odds not matching the player base. The reason why the 48 million pot occured was because the odds for lotto

Your Dream Lotto Game
Well the ideal game is one that I win. Other than that there are ideal state games and ideal multi-state games. Oregon has the best state lottery - more than 50% to the players, good odds (one in 6 million) and the pot hits 20 million at least every year. The ideal pick 5 is washington quinto (one in 2.6 million) and breaks 2.6 million every year and is cash at once. The ideal multi-state game doesn't exist. It would have odds in the 150-180 million range and have pots that break 300 million ever

Florida Fantasy 5 Lottery
Will your club have a strategy to win? Or will you just be buying QP's? I may consider doing the same thing with Ohio Rolling Cash5 game. This game is a 5/39 game with odds of 1:575,757 of winning the jackpot. Today that jackpot is $429,000.00 which is getting close to the odds of winning, there aren't many games any more where the jackpot get close to the odds of winning, which make it an attraction game for pool players who have a winning strategy. Good luck on starting your pool. I'm su

Standard deviation of lotto sets
This is starting to bug me for some reason. I'm going to try this one more time as I feel my previous explanation was inadequate.I have a random number generator generating tickets for the lottery example given above. Defying all the odds in the known universe, the RNG has given me 13,983,815 different sets of numbers in the same amount of draws. What are the odds of drawing that last possibility in the 13,983,816th draw? You got it - the same odds of predicting any given set of numbers in the lo

Details of lottery winner kin's death still sketchy

There are PLENTY of other games for YOU to play that have substantially smaller jackpots and better odds. And you are obviously forgetting that the fun

Details of lottery winner kin's death still sketchy
lowering the lottery jackpots is a good thing first all the money the lottery makes i never hear any good this money is doing for the senior citizens. but i do stand behind what i said yes i love to have 100 million but i feel even that is to much free money for anyone. i feel the lottery should never go over 50 million annuity, just give better odds i mean anyone who can not live off of 18.7 million cash pay out, does not deserve to win.you hear about people who won lottery who are broke, owein

PB Drawing for Saturday 12-18-04
JagI'm not trying to be critical, but I'm not exactly clear as to what you are saying. I know that if there were only 10 white balls and you have to select the 5 winning #s, there are 252 possible 5# combos. I'm still trying to figure out what you mean when you say with 53 white balls, the odds are approx 11,000 to 1 if you can choose 10 balls in an effort to select the winning 5# combo? Is that what you are saying? If it is, then why not just pick 10 #s randomly and in one swell foop you ha

Payout Structure
Quote: Originally posted by JAG331 on December 9, 2004My question is...NY Pick 10 and CT Cash 5 both offer prizes of $300. The odds of winning $300 in the NY game are 1:7,384 while the odds in the CT game are 1:2,164. That's a big difference! I know the same story could be said about virtually every state lottery...different odds for the same prize. Why are they so different?Sorry, I dunno why they're so different. But btw, have you ever won any prizes from NY's Pick 10? I like it but feel it'

Which STATE offers the best GAME?
Quote: Originally posted by BobP on November 25, 2004The Florida Fantasy 5/36 is a very good game and I play it regular mainly because the 6/53 odds are so hard to beat. Even so I prefer a Pick-6 game because the wheels cover so much more.I did forget to mention when lower odds games have rollovers they can suddenly have a major game prize at small game odds. It is kind of a shame PlayLot only offers the larger games, I guess that's because it takes a big jackpot to attract players from other
