$330 MILLION: Mega Millions lottery jackpot nears record high
barbos - that will give you a 50/50 chance persay...That is exactly what it does. Increases your odds if you bought half of the amount of possible combinations.
Problem with doing that: if someone else wins also, then you just spent87,855,768 and wont come out ahead because you would be splitting itwith someone else.
** With your logic you are basically saying that if a person buys every combination available, then they still only have a 1 in 175,711,536 chance. Which is not true

Statistics around the balance of even/odd and small/big numbers
stef,
Do you have any results of any game to prove this out?
As RL said, over the long run any preponderence is going to prove itself. In a game with an odd number of total numbers, 1 being the start number, there will always be more odds.
In any game with any matrix, balanced or biased (one more number in one category, odd / even, high / low, iside / outside) over the long run the biased will show or it will come out 50/50.
There will be short term trends but that never cancels out

$500 winner - Georgia Lottery BLACK
Perhaps I should reconsider my proposed ban on Ga tix. Your instant tix odds comparrison is very cool. I am not positive about it all and will take a peek at the Ga site when I get a few minutes. My prerception about Ma paying back more to players is born from something I read at one point within the last few years and it may be in overall payouts including all lottery games. It would be fun to figure it out though.
I have never purchased a full roll of tix here as there are 300 tickets per b

$1 or $2 Scratchoffs with $50, $200 "Jackpots": Do you waste your money?
I dont get these scratchoffs I see that give a super low jackpot chance, i.e. Quick 50 or Hit 200 . It absolutely baffles me why anyone would waste there money. Here you have a dollar to spend on a ticket: Do I get the one where I can win fifty bucks, for 10,000 bucks?
To me, the key is in the odds: They hardly differ. I am sure in the grand scheme of things I have a better chance of hitting for 50 than 10,000, but if I am going to gamble I would rather truly GAMBLE.
But maybe I am missing

Multiple winners of at least $100 in a single book of tickets
I had a clerk tell me that he had an individual who got two $100 winners out of one book of Maximum Green tickets, maybe he even said $500. Have you ever had any experiences similar to that? I have won $100 or more with small prizes of $20 or less, but never with 2 of the same size. Has anyone ever found a $40 ticket in the same book with a higher paying ticket of say at least $100? I am of the opinion that if a ticket has hit for at least $40, then the odds are pretty slim, but I wanted to hear

Ending Georgia Instant Games
The new year is going to bring and end to many instant games. Be sure to see if your favorite scratch-off is listed. If it is, you better stock up, because they will be gone on Saturday. The following games are set to end on December 31, 2010. That is the last date that a lottery retailer may legally sell those tickets. Some of them sold all of their top prizes, while others close for other reasons, of which I am not certain. Probably because there was a time limit set on them when they came out

Pure unadulterated baloney from Steve Player
It's the irony RJOH.
It's like the carnival sideshow guy who shows you how to toss the rings around the pop bottles or drop the disks to cover the entire circle. And 99% of the time you still can't do it. Humor.
Still, has any state passed a resolution that says no gambling enterprise can be beat, or that the odds can't be improves, or that no system works?
Not to my knowledge.
And like most other things the state wouldn't be sanctioning the use of the system, or even that it works

How to win at the Georgia $20 instant game, Maximum Green
It is almost like I have actually lost my mind, and have suffered from some brain disorder. I originally spent $260 on scratch-offs Christmas day, and lost $75 of that, meaning that I still had $185 worth of winners. It was not too terrible, but I made sure that it ended up much worse. By that point in time, I had bought 2 $20 losers from the same roll of tickets. I bought 007, and it lost. When I came back, it was on 011. You guessed it, it lost as well.
Of the $75 that I lost, $60 was from

North Carolina: 12/1 - 12/31/2010
This is a p3 thread but I'll answer anyway....the most I've ever won on a scratch is $500 once (got $50 on each square and it was the $20 card have won $100 several times when I used to buy a lot of them...don't really buy that many any longer but just here lately a few....don't want to get back into the habit because the odds aren't really that good except maybe the $10 $20 cards you have to be really lucky to win much on them.
I think the best game for winning is p3.
I'm too chicken to p

How to win at the Georgia $20 instant game, Maximum Green
CarHauler that is really great news. I hope the 100's keep coming, you find a 'star' cartoon for a nice $500 win --- or better.
I do not play one of two Tennessee $20 games very much at all (maybe 3 times a year, just buying one or 2 tickets) but I have won $100 around the first month of this year (two $50 wins on one ticket). Bought from the other roll in the machine and got $30.
What happened next is exactly what the lottery wants us to do: Think we are invincible, on a roll, and unstopp
