POLL - On The Whole Do The Lotteries Provide Truly Random Numbers?
Yes, this is why I like what Texas does with their Scratchoff's. They publish the number of claimed prizes as well as the number of prizes printed in each category and the total number of prizes printed updated on a daily basis. A game that may have been initially 1 in a million for the top prize will often be 1 in 650,000 before another top prize is claimed.
Now, I would like to be able to get the addresses of the stores where the winning tickets were purchased, that should define the deliv

Unfortunately, if I could explain the unexplained, then I would not have asked you. Otherwise refer back to my standard reasons... variable change / system / methodology / intuition / luck. If you are just going to write it off as luck and nothing more, then I will continue to disagree with the Gambler's Fallacy and consider it incomplete and not acceptable as proof.
Regarding Marilyn and the Original Monty Hall problem - I never said she answered wrong. But it would be incomplete from the Mo

A present to family that says if I win powerball, I'll give you X%. Does that work?
andymnfun,
If I buy 1,000 tickets over 10 years, I have a 1 in 1,952,491 in winning the powerball, but hey, crazier things have happened.
No, you will have had 1,000 tickets that were all up against 1 in 195,249,054 odds against winning the Powerball. Only one set of numbers is drawn, thus that one set wins if anyone has it and every other set loses. The same exact thing happens for every drawing.
RJOH,
What you say above is true, but it's not unheard of for people who are given a

If All 80,000 Members of LP Dedicated to Systems for PB and Pick6 We will Win it Everyday
pumpi,
Let's use 195,000,000 to 1 as a round number, the odds against hitting PB.
If the 95,000 members here all went $1 how many combinations that that leave not covered?
If they went $10 each how many does that leave still uncovered?
And if they did hit, how much do you think a jackpot split 95,000 ways is going to be worth?

Man wins Fla. Lottery jackpot for 7th time
SPARE CHANGE
I don't care what system you have(or don't have). There is no guarantee of winning the jackpot unless you buy up all the available combinations. It is random how the numbers are drawn, you might as well play randomly. Instead of spending the 40 bucks on a system you could buy actual tickets, picking the numbers or doing quick picks..
I never said a particular method would guarantee a player would win a jackpot and your right the only SOLID guarantee is too buy all combina

Man wins Fla. Lottery jackpot for 7th time
I know this guy personally (I'm sure you all have heard that before) and he does win often. He plays the games that gives him the best odds. Fantasy 5 and Mega Money works with his system. We have talked about his system and I know how it works. I watched his daughter and son-in-law take the same system and win. I recall she won the 2 million prize with Mega Money and she continues to win the smaller prizes. Other people that I know that have bought the system have won but nothing near what he h

Jimmy
I claim, about $2920 in losses over a year! This is based on the assumption that you buy an average of sixteen $1 Straight tickets per day at a cost of $5840 and that you get 5.84 hits over the year netting you $500 each, or about $2920.
First your assumption is wrong. I would never play any set or pattern 365 days a year, Maybe 5 or 6
at most. You cannot get it through your head that any advantage can be gained. Second I am talking
about carefully constructed sets no

Statistically Speaking - QP's and PP's
they only have too prove it too themselves if a player has used quick-picks,lucky numbers etc... and NEVER won a dime but were able too hit the numbers when they applied some form of strategic play then that's all the proof needed.
Since you're talking to someone that only plays 1 QP, it's a waste of time even explaining why they would have twice as many chances playing 2 QPs or even a better chance by playing 5, 10, 100 QPs, or using a wheel covering all the wbs and all the bonus numbers.

Florida Lottery holding back winning scratchers?
I am just curious if anyone is winning any decent amounts off the Florida lottery scratchers this year? I buy only $10 and $20 scratchers. Last year I won $500 several times, $1,000 twice. This year so far I am lucky to win anything above $30 and usually getting non-winning tickets. I mainly buy the Billion Blockbuster and Monopoly, 3 or 4 per day. The Floriday Lottery website shows these have good odds but no big winners this year for these scratchers so far. Are they allowed to hold back the b
