QP's & FP's for NY Take 5
Well Bashley, it looks to me that you did go hog wild last night! I see you won another FP, and nobody won a million dollars playing Sweet Millions, so you're not filthy rich there either! Sorry about that! I dont play Sweet Millions... there's rarely a jackpot winner. That's a fuction of the fact that too few tickets are sold. I guess that's because the lower tier prizes are lousy. 3.8 million to 1 odds on winning the million dollar jackpot isnt bad though. I'm definitely going to pla

The REAL reason lotteries like RNG.
I'm actually a little confused by all the people who get down on RNG and QP. If random number generators are programmed by people and can therefore be manipulated - wouldn't it be easier to find a pattern there than with a truly random event - making it easier to hit the lottery? (which I think is why we are all here) If you really believe you can decipher a pattern in the lottery - it seems like you'd be all for RNG draws. And as far as quick picks. If you believe that doing num

Why do people play QP's?
People play quick picks because they can. The typical quick pick player has nary an idea when the draw is or how the game is run. The typical quick pick player is in a hurry therefore, convenience. The typical QP player does not know what Lottery Post is! The typical QP player has no idea how to fill out a play slip. And here is a couple of questions for the picking masses: If there were no QP's available, and people would have to learn to fill out play slips, learn the odds, would they st

Scratch Off Strategy
Thanks for the welcome! I look forward to visiting here. It seems like a great resource. I almost always play the $2 and $5 games. BlackJack, Goldrush Gush, $10K/Month for life, Fantastic 5s, the Crossword games, and Birthday Cash are favorites. There's one thing I'll sometimes do: I think the rules say you can't have more losers in a row than 2.5x the game's odds. So when I can afford it, I'll buy 13 tickets. I don't do this often. Everyone have a great 4th of July! '

Praying?
i have ZERO biblical problems with God prospering anyone, if He so chooses. the problem i have is when people like you build a 'scriptural case' for turning God into your personal concierge, by selling it that it's you're biblical right . thats a lie. if that teaching was remotely true, it's occuring phenomenom wouldn't occur in just ONE basic geographic location in the world. it's a western teaching, taught by preachers who prey upon the weak and desperate, who KNOW there is wealth to be ext

Steve Player info courtesty of NH Lottery
I would expect the corporation deducts the losing tickets from taxes up to the value of the wins, the rest is an advertising expense. While I agree there is now a corporation, I also believe at one point there was an individual (Steve Player?) who authored the book WIN LOTTO AND DAILY NUMBERS PLAYING TECHNIQUES A PROGRESSIVE SYSTEM TO BEAT THE ODDS by STEVE PLAYER printed by the Publishers of LOTTERY Player's Magazine ISBN 0-936918-11-7 (which should be obtainable by clicking on the Amazon

Poll: Jackpot games
Did you ever play NY's Lotto Extra? It's no longer available, and that's a shame... Yeah it was a buck a game as opposed to regular Lotto's fifty cents a game, but the odds were much better when you bought the extra ball. (It was the 8th ball drawn) What was really nice about it, was if you had 5 of 6 numbers and also had the bonus or extra ball (and you had played Lotto Extra) the second place prize was DOUBLED. One subscriber winner of Lotto Extra saw a second place prize of $300,000 jum

Do you Think Math will Eventually solve the lottery...
Pumpi, all the lotto games are based on mathematics, okay. This is how they came up with the odds of winning the prize which is paid out for a given hit. People that hit boxed or straight with only $5 or so is pure luck and the states can afford this because it doesn't happen very often. Even the boxed hits are limited with the dollar amount people are willing to spend. This is what the states count on in terms of averages. They know people will lose by not spending their money the right way.

New York: 6/1 - 6/30/2010
Wow it is June 20th and still no consecutive numbers have hit boxed. I usually see at least 2 - 3 of them drawn in Pick 3 NY every month for the past couple of years and so far none have hit in June 2010! If a consecutive number hit at least 2 - 3 times every month for the past 3 - 4 years in pick - 3, what are the odds some consecutive will not hit in pick 3 in June 2010? This is A Great oppertunity for me to cash in since there are only ten possible consecutive numbers boxed . Of Course my
