Should I buy an online lottery system?
The last system I bought on ebay was so bad I tried to get the seller kicked off. ebay didn't care so long as the seller was willing to give a refund. Sometimes a refund doesn't cut it, legal doesn't make it right, like sorry doesn't pay the rent. Most systems can legally claim to improve your odds by causing you to buy more unique combinations. Considering your budget, the only thing I'd suggest would be a deeper education in lottery concepts, what happens more often then not. (Most

Mega Millions: $224 million lottery drawing tonight
It's not hard at all. If you think about it a little, you see that the sales data is an essential part of finding out whether or not there was a winner. It follows that all state lottery computers are networked. No one would ever write a computer program to check the numbers without also counting the tickets. Computers today are extremely fast. The Apollo missions to the moon actually had less computing power than a digital wristwatch has today. The size of the jackpot rollovers are anothe

Mega Millions: $224 million lottery drawing tonight
Hmmm CAL-LottoPlayer...is that pessimistic optimism? or is that optimistic pessimism? Saying something won't happen but hoping it does. You are here....Did you play? The odds are terrible and I usually don't play the big games unless they're way up there. Sheesh, even I bought a ticket tonight. One ticket. Not because I'm cheap, far from it. It's because if it's meant to happen, it will with one.

Pa. Lottery to pull the plug on Super 7
Not too many people play that, he said. People are playing Mega Millions and Powerball. Wendy Hinton, of Zhou's Grocery Inc. on South Queen Street, also said most of her customers play the Mega Million game. People don't play (Super 7), she said. They might come in because they won't be able to play it anymore. Nam Lee, owner of Min's Market on South Pershing Avenue, said hardly any of his customers play Super 7. He guessed about 80 percent of his customers pick numbers for Powerball an

Jackpots are always won with one set of numbers
Hmmm...interesting theory. Check this one out: You and a friend both go to the store and you spend $1 dollar on your ticket via personal selection or QP...and you're done with it. You friend, on the other hand, spends say $5 dollars on his selections and actually hits the BIG ONE!! Now, FOUR of his lines are completely different while the LAST one has THREE of the same numbers your one ticket contains IN ADDITION TO THE REMAINING WINNING NUMBERS. Now what? It can and does happen all the ti

Powerball outmuscles Mega Millions in sales, jackpots
I'll take the loser jackpot happily! :-) But don't forget to compare the cash values too. PB tends to bloat the annuity value, when most people will take the cash value. And PB has harder odds too. So I'll buy both... MarkP

Powerball outmuscles Mega Millions in sales, jackpots
Powerball is on a roll. Wednesday's annuity jackpot got to be gigantic $252 million by leaving the main rival in the dust. Both grew for 11 drawings, but the top prize in Mega Millions rose only to $143 million Tuesday night. When states began selling both lotteries on Jan. 31, observers wondered how they'd fare head to head. The verdict seems to be in. Powerball is Coke, Hertz, Muhammad Ali. Mega Millions is Pepsi, Avis, Joe Frazier. In Pennsylvania, a Powerball state for year

N.J. deli waits for its $212M Powerball winner to surface
Maybe it's just me but, we do not feel welcome there lately. Last few times there they seemed annoyed that I was checking tickets and not just buying a newspaper and coffee like other regular customers. I bought a few tickets and we left. That was a week ago. This weekend I didn't go back there and I normally would have. They have to understand if all their new customers become disinfatuated and abandon them but apparently they have enough coffee/newspaper people to survive. Anyway, there are to
