Im surpeised to hear how poorly this is doing. I think it will gain steam though. One question: do we need to save tickets after the draw? I think a number must hit before the raffle portion kicks in.....right? is there a chance they Could draw the number from previous draws or do I just need to trash those? thanks and good luck yall !

I was also thinking about the population difference between Ohio and PA but I didn't check any numbers. Those number differences aren't too drastic. Just more people playing these days maybe ... Yes I will buy other raffle tickets from other states if I happen to be in the area but that's not often. Sometimes it's call a lottery pool or a lottery club. Basically, a group puts in money to buy multiple lottery tickets and if they win, they share the prize. I'm not sure I'd play an online syndicate and I wonder if they are even legal. I know it's not legal to buy lottery tickets through the mail whether domestic or foreign. Congrats to those posting winners lately! I haven't been playing very much at all. I think since I've posted last I bought one $10 ticket that was a loser. I went to the local sheetz on my way to my parents house and wanted to grab a 10X the money $10 ticket. Sheetz was out, so I got the only $10 ticket in the machine. A $1,000 Frenzy which lost. Look at the odds for the 2nd prize. The $100,000 one. 1 in 2,695,218. What a joke. Odds are much better playing your states cash 5 games. Games should not be this confusing to play. Yeah, those deficits look scary. They sold it through their own research, and as you said, the brand and the fact that they can sell fewer tickets and make more $$$. I got access to the polls that they conducted and it proved that players want this game. The results were amusingly opposite to the consensus of the poll here on LP. I just view Scratchers more like a big raffle, a losing ticket buys an entry to the top prize drawing and a winning ticket provides somewhat of a discount to the losing ticket entries (e.g. I buy 3 $10 tickets, one $20 winner comes from it, so my 2 entries to the top prize draw costed $5 instead of $10). I know where you are coming from because I've been running and office pool for several years. It is a lot of work to keep track of everything. In my pool, we play Powerball, MegaMillions, and Louisiana Lotto. We've also played our state's Millionaire Raffle game when it was running. No big wins yet, but we keep trying. lol....the game show entries aren't automatic....those who want to participate can enter their tickets and those who don't can throw them in the trash.
