To Open YOUR eyes: How much do you plan to pay if someone had a wheel that could win lotto/PB
The only thing a wheel does is to have you play more tickets and to evenly distribute your set (usually more than the # drawn but less than the entire field) so that you can guarantee a certain prize level **IF** the winning numbers are entirely in your set. Obviously if you play more tickets you are more likely to win. Unless your set has an advantage over a random set it does not increase your odds vs. a similar batch of QP tickets. In that regard I would NOT pay for a Gail Howard style system

North Carolina: 11/1 - 11/30/2009
Why? I think that I might be able to explain a little further here goes: Lets say you want a 100% DEGREE OF CERTAINTY for a number like 741.. IF you want a 100% DC then is it takes 6904 draws to do this given there is 1000 combinations in the pick 3....plus the PAYOUT flat out sucks as a means of re-couping your losses ...here again IF NCEL were being fair they'd payout over 700 for a win instead of 500...you could call this the HOUSE EDGE in THIER FAVOR ...these odds are WAY WORSE than ro

Florida Fantasy 5
I'm not so sure about that. I just checked the game results media releases for the past 31 drawings (including last night's), and out of 67 winners, only 25 of them were not qps (37%). You should also take into consideration this past Thursday's winning numbers (07 - 10 - 14 - 20 - 26) is a commonly played combination, and produced 5 non-qp winners. The samething happened last Wednesday as well, where the winning numbers were 07 - 12 - 15 - 18 - 21, another commonly played set, and produced 6 no

Only 109,999 chances I won't win a million? - Here's my $20! - Gimme a raffle ticket!
Yeah, it's no super deal but that's why we have to look at it in a comparative manner. There just isn't a better shot at a million in any other game. The way I look at it is I'm taking a shot at one of the three million dollar prizes and getting one of the lesser prizes would just be a welcome bonus if I don't hit the million. Actually I would play it even if there were no lesser prizes because the odds would still be the same for the 3 millions and the lesser prizes wouldn't be life-altering

Only 109,999 chances I won't win a million? - Here's my $20! - Gimme a raffle ticket!
OK Floyd, understood, thanks. Yeah, I'm just going for the million and not really thinking about the other prizes or concerned about the 20 bucks. Hell, you can't hardly get a full case of beer for 20 bucks anymore. I know the odds are that I'll get zip (again) but then again 3 people are going to get a million and all things being equal, I could be one of them. Thanks again. OK, Whitman, now I get it. I had been reading some of his stuff along with Emerson and Thoreau and others in the

Tiggs, I think I'll have a few winners, don't know which races, but I am looking for value, not favorites. My longshot for Friday is in Race 7, the 1 horse, Free Flying Soul. If this horse goes of at 15-1 or higher I will bet her Win/Place 20 units (a betting unit for me is $5). If she goes off at the morning line odds of 50-1, I may just double that. Free Flying Soul will be near the lead, has a Hall of Fame Jockey, and has a win over this track (her last race). The only question is class

Coin Toss, I understand what you're saying and it all makes sense. I understand the house take is outrageous. But discounting all the lesser prizes in this and other games, is there a game that will give me a better chance (odds wise) of winning a million dollars than this one with a twenty dollar bet? With a minimum of a one million dollar prize as the sole objective which game anywhere would give me a better shot at it for $20? I'm not being critical of your opinion, just trying to u

If you had a winning system for winning lottery would you share it?
That would be right up there next to impossible. In order to overcome enormous odds not just once, but repeatedly, could easily tear the fabric of time and space itself. If anyone had that kind of power, to alter the natural laws of the universe, certainly wouldn't need to play the lottery to gain power. He or she would have God-like powers to begin with. But if I played along with your scenario, I would donate to folks who needed the money instead of sharing the system because I

Time to post my PB logic:
it has happened to me but i attribute it to the randmoness of picks not the lottery sending crappy picks. when i have purchased a $5 qp one line had small balls (smth like 1 6 8 12 15 but other 4 lines were reasonable tho) but thats the way it is. we as players do have the option to make own picks so i am not complaining about that. as far as narrowing the odds, what i beleive is that one can predict a few general trends (like predicting next draw will have all odd balls and picking all odd n
