One winner of $9M Megabucks lottery jackpot
One lucky person quit worrying about the plunging markets, layoffs and other economic woes Saturday night after winning the Wisconsin Megabucks lottery. State Lottery spokesman Andrew Bohage said a single ticket matched all six numbers and won the jackpot, worth $9.1 million if the winner chooses to take the payments in 25 installments, or worth $5.1 million if the winner takes the one-time lump-sum cash payout. Odds of winning the Megabucks jackpot are 1 in 7 million, Bohage said. The

Why is keno so hard to win?
Hi Tianca, thanks for the replies. Having 4 numbers hit is not impossible at all, I hit those all the time, along with some 5x5's, but I don't play more than a 5x5 - I know my limits ! LOL However, that said, I don't just play one combination, I may have 3 or 4 combinations in play at any one time, and I usually hit one of them. The difference is, they play games here every 5 minutes, so you can play 12 games in an hour, the odds tend to be better when you can get more games in. Four co

It's getting hard to stay enthusiastic...
I could not agree more with Diamondpalace. The excitement can be found in developing a method to reduce the odds, not in dreaming about what you will buy with 25 million dollars. Read books on quantum theory, uncertainty, astronomy, and the like. Learn VBA programming, Visual Basic, and C++. Look for ideas you might adapt to a Lotto program while reading. (Start with the Dummy books!) Stay away from mathematics. The only thing math and the lotto have in common is they both use numbers. The

If you Ever found a Good system, will the State LOttery pay you and how much
Hi pumpi if this system wins powerball or the florida lotto I more than happy with just hitting once like a 30 or 40 million jackpot Im 30 ,I would take all at once that woul leave me with 10 to 15 million after taxes I dont think I need more than that. But if this system Can win a game with such high odds then a game like a pick 3 would be a piece of cake for this system I would be happy with hitting the pick 3 once a week.I mean straight hit so 50 dollars on a number would give me 25 g

Pick 5 - Cold Fusion System
Good! When the time arrives ( should the time ever arise ) I can send you Excel spreadsheets containing VBA programs which will tell you just how many combinations contain one or more cold numbers, or how many contain both cold numbers and base numbers, or some other combination of cold and base numbers. Right now I am of the opinion that 80% of the total number of possible combinations will contain a cold number. I deduce that figure out of your statement that 80% of the time, the combina

Why is keno so hard to win?
Well Vick, there are a number of simple, obvious ways to narrow the field by 50% or more and still have enough to get jackpot numbers. Here's a few (of the many I use): 1) play lines with only odd or even numbers(this method requires a special analysis to utilize). Ten odds or ten evens are guaranteed to come out tonight. 2) Cut your total numbers in half. Play 1-40 and 41-80. Or 1-35 and 36-70. You get the idea. This works at least 50% of draws. There are many others. But really, you n

Sets to play
Hi Guys, I'm new here so looking forward to getting some usefule advice. My question is if there is a way to select numbers to play in multiple sets. I play in the South African 6/49 Lottery, 7 sets of 18 numbers per set, 6 lines for each set for a total of 42 lines per draw. I have been testing this since the beginning of this months and in the seven draws I played I have won with at least three numbers each time, but have only won more than I played once....and not much more. Is th

Anyone here tired of pessimistic people?
There's a difference between pessimistic and realistic. It's just a way of venting. I play the big one once in a while knowing there's an extremley good chance that I will lose. But i do it just in case a miracle happens. When people complain, they do it knowingly, but hope they might have a chance. Getting your hopes up all the time, and dreaming of what you'll do with the money will eventually lead you to a huge crash when you don't win. That's why I like the word realistic so much....

Developing a winning MegaMillions System
Thanks JKING, It was suggested in past threads that many LP members have ideas and strategies that improved their odds of winning and that sharing them with with others might produce even better ones. This thread is my attempt to do that. I picked MegaMillions because it's a game played in my state (Ohio) and eleven other states and I believe that while many games share similarities, each is unique. Stew12 pointed out that he did better using a similar strategy with PowerBall which suggest

International super lottery to create jackpots of $500 million or more
Well, I don't mean to suggest that I'd turn down $500 Mill. If someone offered it to me, I could always give some away and keep the amount I desired. However, I don't see anyone offering! I would not pursue it with the same zeal as I do with $ 60 and $ 80 million dollar jackpots! Not long ago there was a $ 276 Mill jackpot and a steelworker won with $2.00. I was sitting here at my computer at 6pm and could have walked 1 blk and took a pretty big swing at it. I didn't bother going, cause I just c
