Take5 NY
Thanks Nana... Yeah, I'm headed back to The Salt Mines today. It'll be good to get back to work, as CRAZY as THAT sounds. The job I have is a retirement job, so there isnt a ton of pressure, the people there are all good folks and I whip 'em to a frenzy when either PB or MM gets big cuz I run the office pool. They all think I'm nuts, and they're right, I am nuts. I've had some good laughs with those guys. Eight of us in a different pool I run are gettin real excited because July 4th is just

Are you a creature of habit when purchasing your lottery tickets?
https://www.lotterypost.com/news/168365 Interesting, but It's just a coincidence, not because the owners are good people. Lots of bad people have won JPs, so I don't buy that mumbo jumbo stuff. Again, the mainframe computer generates those Raffle tickets, and the article failed to mention whether the two big winners were QPs, or personal numbers chosen by the winners. If the winners were QPs, then the mainframe at another location chose them, and If It was personal numbers, well,

California Raffle Drawings
I went looking for the results on Sunday night also, could not find it, so just thought it was a day later like some other results. Checked on Monday and still nothing, lot even a link for it in the Super Lotto section. But I went digging some more, back to the original promo, and found the link hidden there: http://static.www.calottery.com/~/media/Happenings/promos/SLP_Raffle/raffle%20winners%20pdfs/slp_raffle_draw%201_20130303.pdf Let's just hope that they aren't this lame for the

New Michigan Raffle
Well, it is on the website now- The Lottery is not responsible for additional taxes in excess of the amount withheld by the Lottery that may be due when a prize winner files all tax returns for the year the prize is claimed. I.E. the prize really isn't tax free! You can find it on michiganlottery.com when you click on the raffle link. The only reason I am really bringing this up is the hypocrisy of it. Years ago furniture and appliance stores in Michigan would have sales

Washington Lottery published wrong numbers after raffle draw
So, was this raffle done by Computer Random Number Generator?????????? Something in Washington is beginning to stink. And, where in the heck were the Auditors who are suppose to verify the whole process from start to finish. Being Sorry isn't good enough. Blaming a Computer Glitch is not an answer. Was the Glitch when the Computer RNG generated the winning?? numbers or was it when the Computer RNG generated the winning??? list of numbers. In any case, I feel the state should honor al

MUSL: We have identified the glitch!
That would made PB more like a raffle and players don't buy their tickets as much as lotteries. Years ago some people in Ohio got upset about people winning too much and the lottery commission stupidly limited the amount one ticket could win to $20M and many players stop playing. At the time Ohio had the Super Lotto with jackpots that regular reached $50M+ almost every month before being won. Surrounding states didn't have PB or MM so a lot of players from out of state played the game too.

POLL - State Raffles
Let me see, would I rather take a $20 shot at $1 million dollars or 20 $1 shots or 10 $2 shots at multi-millions? Oh my head, the pain. The way Illinois does the raffle it comes out to 509 winners and 499,491 losers. Gee which of those two categories your ticket will wind up in? Even if you win $1M at a $20 price each dollar has won......$50,000. Not quite as strong as a draw game winner. Good Luck to all of you who play them.

Many different credit cards will block a transaction based on the merchant code. Some subprime cards (no offense intended) will limit spending on certain transactions due to the specified merchant code. If you spoke with the credit card company to find out the code, you could then speak with the Raffle company and see if they would authorize your card under a different merchant code. Sometimes they use a back up processor or a different merchant code category to get around this type of
