Greens Propose a Heritage Lottery
The Tasmanian Greens yesterday called for the introduction of a state lottery to raise funds to help restore Tasmania's crumbling heritage buildings.
Greens leader Peg Putt called her bold suggestion -- seemingly at odds with Greens' opposition to poker machines and gambling -- an outside-the-square solution to a serious problem confronting Tasmania.
Ms Putt pointed out that Western Australia and Britain both used national lotteries to fund historic building restoration and that such a rem

Tonight's Fla. Lotto drawing first to let players increase jackpot
I actually think this is a great idea, for a few reasons.
It gives players a choice of raising the jackpot without making the game more difficult to win. If you're like me, you love when Mega Millions or Powerball try to make the jackpots larger, but you hate when they make the game harder to win in order to achieve it. The Florida Lotto jackpot gets hit often, because it is such a popular game, with relatively good odds of winning. (And because MM and PB are not available in the state.) Thu

Same odds.
But many times much better results in my opinion , when choosing your own numbers.
I do grab a OP now and then. You never know.
But much can be learned from past drawings , when time is dedicated to studying them.

Random is dynamic and so a prediction system should also be.
People can spend a lifetime trying to evaluate which 5 numbers have the best chance of being drawn in any given draw, but it's always a random drawing so any of the 56 numbers can be the first 5. With any wheel the idea is to trap the 5 numbers out of a group of numbers and if that happens, the order you placed the numbers into the wheel is the only reason that you didn't have all 5 number on one ticket.
Using all 56 numbers, the if is taken out the equation so the order you used to enter th

Which gives me a better chance of winning a lottery?
I don't think it's merely because of people whao are bad at math. In general, people who I've discussed the lottery with, who are relatively smart individuals doing much better than I in their finances, and live in very nice homes, really aren't aware of just the basics of the odds and ends, and internal workings of the lottery. You'd be very surprised their overall outlook on the whole thing.
I pick up people at the airport who live in 2 million dollar homes, which shows they were doing some

Which gives me a better chance of winning a lottery?
If there are 175,711,536 possible combinations, buying 100 combinations improve your odd of having the winning combination to 175,711,536/100=1:1,757,115.
See folks, this is what I mean about misleading. The above shows that buying 100 tix, your odds come down from 1:175,711,536 to 1:1,175,712.
Now, again I say, in mathematical terminology this might be true, however it's misleading.
Does anyone really believe that if you buy a hundred tickets, that you've eliminated a hundred seventy f

Mega Millions
Forgive me if this has already been discussed. Personally, I don't remember if it has.
Why is it that some states like the one I live in, Florida, and others not join in with those big lotteries?
I'm the last person on the LP who would ask such a question because I hardly play my own Lotto, because of the rediculous odds. I occasionally play it just for the heck of it, but I would be interested to play the really big ones also for the same reason I would play the Florida Lotto, or Fantasy

Okay gang, one more prayer needed for baby Linc.
He is having surgery this Wednesday at Children's Hospital. They are going to fix a couple things including a hernia. I sure hope he will be completely healthy after this. I know he will still have a small hole in his heart that they are going to wait and see what happens with it later. Doctor thinks it will be no problem. He is a

Anybody try this system?
Google Algorithms=play the numbers that come up the most.
Actually playing the numbers that come up the most is not a bad idea. For example since the last matrix change of PowerBall, twenty-two numbers have come up 48% of the time even though they were only 40% of the numbers and have included 4 of the winning numbers 35 times and all 5 winning numbers 3 times.
If one had only played combinations from that group of numbers, their odd of having all 5 winning numbers would have increased
