Mass. Lottery games to merge, jackpots to increase
Yes, I agree - it is now impossible for any other lottery game to compete with Mega Millions or Powerball in jackpots anyway, so they have to make other jackpot games more inviting in other ways. Hot Lotto shows how to do it. Long odds of winning the jackpot, but reasonable odds of winning something - 1:16. Where in Megabucks, the easier of the 2 games, the odds of winning the lowest cash prize (the free ticket being a worthless prize, in my opinion) are 1:555. Pretty lousy, and I'm glad th

OK - I see your point. Odds of winning the jackpot are 1::13,983,816. You're playing 3 games for $2.00. Therefore, if you take the jackpot odds and multiply them by 2/3, the jackpot odds per dollar are 1::9,322,544. But is it meaningful? Looking at the bottom line, the payout percentage for the jackpot is 13.27%. Period. That means that of every dollar spent on the game, 13.27 cents will be allocated to the jackpot pool. Out of approximately every $7.54 invested in the game, $1.00 will be paid o

Full details on PA Match-6
Here are a couple of other interesting details:A Match 6 Lotto ticket may not be canceled or voided once printed by the Lottery terminal, even if the ticket is printed in error. This currently is not the case with other PA based games. You have up until 10 minutes to cancel the ticket. Powerball tickets can not be cancelled.3 Winning Numbers $2 1:19.2 4 Winning Numbers $2 1:9.1 10 or More Winning Numbers $2,500 1:597,302.6 The odds are pretty decent. And a ton better than Super 6. However

The draws are independent of each other. If one state has one draw a day for 50 days, there is always the chance that the same number sets will come up. (this has happened), Or one state has 50 draws in one day, or 50 states has one draw in one day, it's all the same. The odds are 1/1000 for each ticket.Quote: Originally posted by Todd on December 31, 2003TC,When trying to calculate odds for a specific pick across all states, how would you do it? There are 48 different pick 3 games per day in all states. I'll use 50 just to make it easier to do the math. Interceptor is picking one set of numbers per day for all states. That's 1(pick) x 50(Pick 3 draws) X 50(days)= 2500 predictions. 6 way box odds are 1/166, 3 way box odds are 1/333, Straight is 1/1000. During Interceptor's 50 days he should have 2 or 3 straights, 7 3 way boxes or 15 6 way boxes . If he gets above that then he will be beating the odds. I have seen some of the predictor

PA Super Six is going away...
Agree, that's why Super 6 was invented with astronomical odds. Then Powerball was changed to bigger odds, but better odds of smaller prizes. Actually still OK. If you live in Pa. You know that the lottery never gets it right the first time. And if they do, the game gets scrapped. Again, would prefer hot lotto over powerball. High end should be enough for me. On an unrelated nlote. I feel the same thing will happen when we get slots. Delaware and W.Va. does it right by having the lotter

Trust internet ticket buying services?
Cider,Another option you may consider is joining a lottery pool. There are some lottery pools that are honest and do not charge extra for tickets. There was a person on this forum that recently started a lottery pool. He polled the group to see how he should go about forming the group and what the conditions should be. His email address is georgia_lotto_club@yahoo.com.There are other lottery pools on the web. Be careful, though, some are pyramid schemes. My problem with Playlot is the cost. This

i know what the forum is about , kat. what im saying is everyone gets quiet after lotto draw and i want yall to know that thats the wrong thing to do. as for your forum./.......if the monitor honestly gives out information and doesnt condition it first, this is fine by me. the monitor should give real-time odds not state odds. real computerized odds daily. or set up a server which could do things other lottery posts dont do. and dont care what the state thinks about any of it. cause the only

Multi-state jackpots could bring holiday cheer
Just in time for the holidays, the nation's two multi-state lottery games have jackpots that have grown to thresholds that usually produce frenzied buying. The Mega Millions game, played in eleven states, now has a jackpot of $100 million dollars for Tuesday night's drawing. The Powerball game, played in 24 states, Washington D.C., and the Virgin Islands, is now sporting a top prize of $137 million dollars for Wednesday's drawing. If all this seems eerily familiar, that may be because last December

What a program needs to be good ...
When it comes to picking lottery numbers, practice doesn't make anyone better, it just convince one that the odds are real and they apply to all players. I have picked and posted numbers for MM, but I don't call them predictions but my picks based on parameters of past winning numbers. I am sure when each player look at the history of a game, they come to different conclusions. Many see a trend and pick their numbers accordingly and others conclude that a QP is as good as any thing they can pic
