Anyone been casino gambling lately?
It depends on where you play and what you play. The Keno payoffs at the Coast casinos (Gold Coast, The Orleans) are slightly higher than most and that does add up. For instance a 3-spot pays $45, a 4-spot pays $160, and a 6-spot pays $2000 compared to the $42, $125, and $1500 most casinos pay. The Station casinos link their Keno games together and have progressive 6-spot payoff that can be even higher. Most people don't really look at the Keno pamphlets and don't know the many different p

Powerball won in Oregon.
Here' a really simple idea. Imagine your state has sold 10 winners in a row, and the adjoining state that's just 100 yards away hasn't sold a winner in 5 years. Because the odds of your state selling 11 winners in a row are staggering you walk down the road and buy a ticket in the other state. I buy a ticket in your state, and because I'm a really mean bastard I play the same numbers as you. Did I somehow decrease your chances of winning? Obviously a state that sells more tickets has a bet

Help Me Please!!
If you generate 100 numbers on Pick3, your odds of one of them coming out STR are 1 in 10 so it would happen often even without any system. If you have some kind of system in exchange for sharing it I would write a program to help pick the numbers and a backtest mechanism. I generally avoid scratch-offs, I make more on them from discarded ones or what others give me, ones I buy myself rarely win. The numbers can at least be systemized sometimes. Generally on the Pickits the Lottery will pay b

Why the sudden concern with anonymity ?
With all due respect, some people thrive on the notion of what to do IF they win. Unfortunately IF is a big word. Not to discourage or be negative, but the odds are the reality. IF A grasshopper had a machine gun, the birds wouldn't bother it.... IF ..... Who knows...we might have a bunch of jackpot winners trying to find legal advice....LOL You never know!

can numbers go cold?
I was looking at the Kansas Pick 3 results from the beginning of the year and it looks like somebody put the middle digit 6 into their pocket. It never came out in January, twice in February and so far hasn't come out in March. The first digit 2 has done a little better coming out 5 times in 67 draws. In the previous 1000 draws the front pair 26 came out 14 times and if we didn't know about the current streak and compared it to the front pair 10 that came out 8 times in the same 2071 draws,

Am I the only one that feels entitled to a jackpot?
I feel entitled to the basic necessities in life, the means to get around (including in this rotten weather) food on the table, and a roof over my head, and access to medical care if I need it. Whatever jackpot amount would secure that much, would be enough. I won a jackpot once but had to share it so it didn't cover all of the above needs; I feel that if I beat high odds I deserve a big prize. Also the Mega is not really such a let-down if you look at the Powerball jackpot that has been quie

tracking theEver try MM or PB on paper? What should I look for?
Welcome to the club, there are other LP members who are also working on systems to improve their odds of picking more winning combinations and I'm one of them. The trouble I had with commercial lottery programs is that using them locks you into someone else's logic and they are usually designed to look good rather than be informative. A few years back I bought a copy of LottoPro and it did a lot of things I liked but as I leaned more and wanted to mine my data differently using my own logic,

Am I the only one that feels entitled to a jackpot?
I feel the same way as Megawinner. Today, when I heard the news that there were two winners in the East, I'd loosen the energy to work. I would like to call it, Jackpot Syndrom. I felt very odds this morning. And, I just kept wonder why I did not win. I had follow this jackpot from $60 Mil to now. Then, suddenly the race stopped, but still were I on track and passed by the jackpot. Oh My God, You have forsaken me! on this jackpot. Please remeber my name on the next one

Probabilty of Someone Winning a PB & MM Jackpot in the same Week!
Oh, the same place a lot of these go I guess. A few of us try to convince others that each line of numbers is but one combination up against over 176,000,000 possible combinations and that's all there is to it. But they insist one more combination they play is going to reduce those combinations by 85,000,000 all at once, not just by one more. Then the lottery commission lurkers and guests that monitor this board poke thier co-workers and go, Told ya. Poor bastards, poor dumb bastards.
