Thanks RJ, that's the point I was trying to make (you said it better than I could). The fact is, the odds of my winning PowerBall are worse than my odds of J. Lo deciding that she wants me instead of Ben Affleck (if anyone know J. Lo, tell her she's free to disprove this theory). But it is a dream... and any means that I can use to improve my chances of attaining that dream are worth pursuing. And along the way, if I can reduce my costs of pursuing that dream, that's worthwhile too. This is exa

Lottery programs
To I M Trying,If you track your win/loss ratio, you should notice a change if your odds improve. In MegaMillions the over all odds of winning any prize is 1/43, that $4 or better for every $100 of tickets. You can expect to do that even with QP's, if you are using software that is suppose to help you, then you should expect to do better. Even if your odds improve and you don't win a second prize or a jackpot, you will still spend more than you win if you play any length of time. RJOh

Even or Odd?
that would be a tough one to call for example: on a three number draw you start off with 50% even 50% odd numbers if the 1st draw is a even number that would leave you with a 55.6% odd and a 44.4% even mix. If the second draw is also a even number that would leave the mix for the third ball at 62.5% odd and a 37.5% even. the odds become higher that a odd ball would be the third. if you track the draws you might find that 2 odds and 1 even or 2 even 1 odd come up more times than straight e

the best st p3 system
the best odds for straight pick three wins you could possibly hope for is 1/10. simply follow the numbers long enough on paper until you get pretty good a picking the first digit out. then simply bet all 100 numbers at $.50 each for a total of $300 win. (i live in ky, so this is the payout for this state). most of the regulars on this forum post at least 50 numbers to play. if you are going to play that many numbers you might as well play the best odds. i don't think there is a system out t

The Ultimate Cash vs. Annuity Poll
If anyone is that good at predicting numbers to worry about cash vs. annuity payouts, they could be playing the pick-3 in $1 increments for straights and never have to worry about annuities or Uncle Sam. Plus the odds are 135,000 times better in Pick-3 than Big Game M.M. Anybody who knows anything about odds wouldn't waste their money on the big games and thus wouldn't have to worry about the cash vs. annuity option. Look at the odds when you bet. When they say 135 million to one, put it i

Megamillions picks...05/16/03
The Megamillions file as of 05/13/03 has 104 drawings compared with the Powerball file with 60 drawings when I posted my system in the System section. I will be using that system to pick 20 lines for tonight's Megamillions drawing and using these parameters.Sum = 95-185Range = 21-47Gaps = 1-22Numbers by postions1st = 1-152nd = 6-313rd = 9-37 4th = 27-495th = 41-52Bonus = 3-52 (numbers that has hit 2+ times)80% or more of the numbers in previous drawings were within the above perameters and 32% o

Basics
The reason I started coming here was to see if there was a way to get an advantage. I am just questioning your statements. The Pick 3 mechanics are minimized just like the bigger games. Even a slight mechanical bias would not reduce the odds enough to make a difference. Especially in the bigger games. Even if you were able to reduce the powerball odds to half, you still would have to come up with 60 million bucks to take advantage of it. How much are the odds reduced using your system?

Winning the Jackpot Prize
Rebeckah:I don't think that lotteries post odds to scare off and pysch people into losing. Otherwise, people simply woudn't play and lotteries will NOT make money.Your comment you made in the first paragraph has EVERYTHING to do with odds so therefore you just contradicted yourself. Yes, one person might win with one ticket but the other person just lost with 14 million tickets as you pointed out. To the lottery, the odds are still one in 14 million.Valid is something of substance. When one
