I'd love to win a jackpot or even a few thousand this year, but to be realistic, I will most like lose more than I win in the end. It's the sad truth of the lottery curse. Although, on the bright side, I have been on a winning streak with finding patterns with my system for the pick 3 and 4 games. Been backtesting and good results so far. Now I need to play it for real and not on paper. X <--- fingers crossed for the year !

There are so many systems out there. You've got V-tracs, Mirrors, hot and cold, even and odd, wheels, all kinds of filters, numbers of draws to go back from, etc. What works great one day is a failure the next. What's been working for me lately, as odd as it may seem, is that I use my Fantasy 5 system for the pick 3 games and surprisingly, it has been doing well. In this program, I assume hot means most frequent in the last n drawings. Would cold mean (I assume) least frequent or that it has not appeared in a while? Also can you provide a backtest report, show the hit ratio vs. normal average and if this system would have made consistent profit over several months of use. I've always wondered how copyrights apply with things like cook books and lottery systems and strategies. Last month we were discussing a $27 system that is almost exactly the same pick-3 strategy I used over 25 years ago. Had I copied and pasted that system on LP, it's possible the owner could sue me for damages because it has a copywrite. I can create a Pick-3 system by saying had I played the first digit from X numbers of draws ago and the second and third digits from X numbers of draws and predict the next drawing. Since I can't go back in time and buy tickets, I can only check the system's validity on paper. And if I have enough confidence in the system, I play the results in my state lottery.
