Winners of $208 million Mega Millions lottery jackpot step forward
Ralph and Mary Stebbins of Port Huron, Michgan have always wanted to travel, so they're using part of their third-largest-ever Mega Millions jackpot to buy a recreational vehicle. And then there's the cow. While mulling their options after winning the $208 million jackpot, Mary Stebbins mentioned her wish. She said, I want to buy a cow.' She just wants to buy a cow -- a show cow, said Bob Kolt, a media specialist from Okemos representing the family.Ralph Stebbins' wish list includes a garage to

$205 million lottery jackpot payoff lures Mega players
Tasha King will play the 11-state Mega Millions lottery for a chance at the $205 million jackpot, but she plans to carefully choose six numbers that could change her life. I play the lottery pretty regularly, the Cleveland woman said Thursday as she bought a regular Ohio lottery ticket at Mike's Beverages on Lorain and West 93rd Street. I have to think about which numbers to play [for Mega Millions]. When I decide, they will be my secret. King is among the millions of hopefuls who will take a

Just for the record. What a record !
The pick 3 game is full of 50 / 50 dvents. Mostly odd/even .....high/low ..... etc. etc. Just for the record........ the state of Kentucky has gone way over the edge and thumbed it's nose at the odds on several of these groups all at the same time. Please note the number of days in the last 30 the count came down each day with ...MOSTLY EVEN NUMBERS. Now for it's next magic trick look at the number of times the digit # 6 has hit during this time. Notice the number of times the Pair.....

The Pigskin Challenge: 4-6-05
Aye, I asked the question because investors are constantly being told if a money manager can have a return on his investment portfolio that exceeds the return on the Standard and Poors' 500 index, he's doing a good job. If the S P index is up 10% and a money manager is achieving a 15% return for his clients, he's doing a really great job. And keep in mind that these managers have many tools at their command...including inside info,,,that helps them show a healthy return on tehir investments.

...Why "Lottery Systems" Don't Work
ThePenisThe people that play that pick 3 or pick 4 crap are stupid, the most they can win is a few hundred dollars max, not enough to even buy a good TV much less create a lifestyle change.Just maybe is better to win a few dollars than no money at allgrand prize of $110 Million! What you could do with all that money. Unfortunately, the odds of winning that prize were 1 in 54.9 Million. In other words, you'd be more likely to get hit by lightning or die in a plane crash than win. So, it's really

Streak of jackpot winners is bad luck for Powerball lottery sales
Quote: Originally posted by Maverick on March 17, 2005Personally, I still find it ironic that some people get disappointed when there are no big jackpots, as if it's so easy for them to win. But as long as they play what they can afford, everything should be okay. I am with you on that Maverick I just don't see it. But it looks as if I am going to have to change my thinking a little. Someone stated over in the Mega Million thread on this same subject that they will continue to play because the

Streak of jackpot winners is bad luck for Powerball lottery sales
Sales of Powerball lottery tickets across the nation are down drastically in recent months. The reason: People are too frequently beating the odds, which happen to be 1 in 120.5 million. In the past 12 weeks, players have won a record five Powerball jackpots, none larger than a mere $41 million. The streak of luck has meant the jackpots don't roll over enough times to build the huge prizes of $100 million or more. It's those giant amounts that bring out the lines of people who don't normally pla

What prize is Lottosync aimed at?
ok, I already know it uses a 3 draw history. Question is....is the software aimed at picking only 3 number prizes and has anyone tested it to see if it actually does better than random expectation? I don't have it, so I can't test it myself and I'm not about to spend the money on it if someone else who has it can do the testing. From what I've seen posted about Lottosync's prediction, it pretty much has only got 3 numbers out of 10. Has anyone got 4 out of 10? 5 out of 10? I bet not. Why,

Dumbest Game Ideas
Here are my top three in ascending order:3. California Daily DerbyO.K., this game is crazy. It seems like a mish-mash of a Pick 3 game and a exact-order 3/12 lotto game. All tied into a concept that doesn't translate well into an on-line lottery game. 2. Pennsylvania Lucky For LifeIMHO, the reason the For-Life games in OR and WA were successful lie in the way the game is played. Pick just 4 numbers from a large pool of numbers, you'll get several additional sets of numbers too. And the odds of
