winning a jackpot...what would you buy...
First thing I would do is pray and thank God for this miracle (after all the odds of actually winning the jackpot is so very little).1. I would then give 10% to the church and other charitable organization (battered women shelter, homeless shelter, etc.).2. Visit my sick dad and hire a nurse to help for my mom to assist my dad. Visit the inlaws. Move to where my parents live so I can help. (Can't afford to live where my parents live. The cost of living there is so high that many left and

Which STATE offers the best GAME?
Quote: Originally posted by four4me on November 25, 2004Playing the lottery is a gamble no matter how you look at it. You gamble that your picks will beat the odds. From checking Illinois website on a daily basis I see that a lot of people win with quick picks. So I would play 2 quick picks and maybe 3 of my own selections. Try looking at their number history and see if you can follow how the numbers are coming out you just might pick up on something. Otherwise if your just playing numbers off t

mega millions info?
While each state might not have and equal population of players. The chance of winning might favor the states where the most people play. However the winning number doesn't care which state it hits. It's all about the odds of the game and the selection of numbers drawn.Yesterday I saw a news broadcast and they were showing some peoples ticket purchases and the play slips they were filling out. The first three tickets people had all the numbers filled out from 1 to 26 and no numbers above 27. An

For some lottery winners jackpot is a 'nightmare'
Not being the brightest bulb in the pack. I hope should lady luck ever shine on me that I have a simple plan in place. 1 would be to contact my lawyer and financial planner ( both of whom I do know and trust) 2 I have little need for phone (other than one does need one for verification purposes) I would cancel my land-line and just go with my wireless ( only a handful of people know this number) Not being one who is wanting any media coverage I would set up a trust(things get a little fuzzy here

Some information about Powerball
O.K. Biglooooser, I'd like you to understand my position. I previously said that the fact that as each new ticket is sold at a retail outlet in any state, the number given out to the player is immediately reported to the central computer at lottery headquarters and that bothers me. So every possible winning number is known to the main computer immediately. That clearly isn't at odds with anything you are saying. Then when I asked you for some facts, you suggested I conduct the experiment you

Canadian Super 7 lottery winner heads back to work
It's back to work for Shawn MacDonald even if this morning he is Canada's newest multi-millionaire. No, I have no plans to change any of that, the 33-year-old federal civil servant said yesterday as he picked up a check for $7.5 million. I'll just live my life as I always did.
