I'm not trying to pour fuel on this issue, but I can think of how I'd implement the practice if I ran the lottery. I was watching videos on youtube of the mechanical drawing for Powerball. Dont know if it makes any difference as to how you pick your numbers or not Matrix but .... Number 28 in Florida Fantasy5 has 34 hits year to date and leads the way. It selects the numbers randomly but then looks at the most common numbers played for a given drawing and factors them out. So it's not like the odds are long enough to start with, they have to tilt the playing field even farther by ruling out the numbers that are getting the most play.
