will you play the new $5 mega millions?
I stopped playing Powerball and Mega Millions when I realized this:
Mega Millions 3+1: Play $2, odds 1:14,547, prize $200.
I consider this a ripoff because
3-ball: Play $1, odds 1:1000, prize $500 in most states. Higher prize, much better odds, and lower investment.
4-ball: Play $1, odds 1:10,000, prize $5000 in most states. Much higher prize, better, odds, and lower investment.
I will not play Mega Millions unless, for example, the 3+1 prize goes up to $14,500 on a $2 ticket

Improved odds of a 5W Powerball win, or coincidence?
I've discovered a relationship in the Powerball draws which improves the odds of a 5 white ball hit by a factor of 35.7.
69 choose 5 = 11,238,513, so the odds of a 5W hit are 1 in 11,238,513, assuming the balls are equally likely to be picked.
The relationship in past draws reduces the odds to 1 in 314,432
Still a long shot, but much improved.
Standard statistical analysis will not sift out this 5W signal. I discovered it with exhaustive search.
Could this relationship just b

Asked ChatGPT How To Win the Lottery
Stack47, you stated earlier in this thread:
I buy one PB ticket and the odds of all those numbers being drawn are around 1:292 million. And the odds against that ticket matching at least one number or the bonus number are 1:190.6 million. How exactly does buying another nonidentical ticket for the same drawing improve the odds the first ticket winning the jackpot or even matching one number?
Are the odds of the second ticket winning the jackpot improved too?
Now you claim:

Florida Fantasy-5 Players
Not that anybody cares, but I thought I'd share my thoughts on playing PowerBall.
I don't play the game very often because the odds are ridiculous. I'd rather play a lottery game that players actually have a decent shot at winning. All lottery games carry very long odds so I prefer to get some bang for my lottery playing buck. While I was living in New York, I lived fairly close to The Pennsylvania border so I used to play The annual Pennsylvania Millionaire Raffle. The odds were 125,000 to

Nebraska Lottery marks 30th Anniversary with first $30 scratch-off game
Complaining about a top $300,000 prize for a $30 ticket only makes sense if you ignore the odds of winning the prize, plus the fact that the top prize is cash (not annuity).
In the new Nebraska game, the odds of winning the top prize are 1 in 128,000, which are pretty good odds for a scratch game top prize. (3 top prizes are available.)
For comparison, in New York $5 games offering a $1 million top prize, they are annuity payouts, meaning the top prize is not really $1 million cash in co

Florida Fantasy-5 Players
The fact that JPT's maximum jackpot has rolled over five or six times even with a promo in place tells me that Florida lottery players just dont have much interest in the game, and they probably aren't paying attention to the advertised jackpot either.
I understand why they feel that way especially when JPT is at its lower jackpot amounts. If you played PowerBall instead, and added the Power Play option, which would cost a total of 3 dollars, and you matched 5 numbers you'd win two million d

Do you really thing the games are rigged?
And therefore is the question. Powerball. Mega-Millions. Those large/r matrix draws kind of speak for themselves. Or should. 1 in 200+ million combinations? 200+ possible combinations. Why the need to rig it? When I worked at a store that sold lottery, I know what ticket sales looked like. For all draws and scratch-offs. Draw games was decent on sales. Only on the PB and MM though. The Cash 5 draw here I might have sold a handful of tickets each night. I do mean a handful. I don't remember a $10

All-States Trip 777 - 63 Days Out
Good point, bahamiangal! When I first started looking at this back in March, I looked back as far as Fall of 2020 and found one case where a straight was about 126 days out. It may have been plus or minus, but the 126 number sticks in my mind. I did a little math on that to see what's what. There are about 506 draws per week. 126 days is, what, 18 weeks? Right? So about 18 * 506 = 9108 draws. And the odds of a straight not falling each draw are 0.999, right? So the odds of a particular straight

Powerball to lower jackpot starting point and increases due to plunge in sales
Rubbish. Not a single thing they're doing now will increase sales, just the opposite.
They could lower the cost of the ticket or push to make the game available online or improve the odds. Their actions are only guaranteeing that more people play MegaMillions instead, which will decrease sales even more. What then? Lower the starting point again?
It's not as if this pandemic is going to be wrapped up in a few weeks or even a few months. Not with the idiots we have running the show. So they

Playing with static Doubles only
Trying not confuse anyone, especially me. Just using the2 digits in a normal P3 double. Odds only.
We desired an easy-to-remember rule of thumb for the next double. Putting likelihood and probability aside for the moment.
For example: Odds wise and Doubles only.
There is a always a 25% better chance (odds wise) NO digits will repeat from one double to the next.
Players can get a lot out of just plain ODDS in p3. Odds can go a long way as a beginning filter.
