PA Millionaire Raffle- St. Patrick's Day Edition
I agree, I like the slightly better odds myself, which is why I'm so tempted to buy a few more tix.
But there is a lot of hype about the odds too.
Yes, 500,000 to 4 odds is mathematically the same as 125,000 to 1. But that's only on paper.
To be able to see why I say there's a lot of hype about the odds think of the drawing this way:
In the old days they used to put 100,000 paper lottery tickets in a huge drum, spin it around for a while to mix up the tickets, then they opened the do

PA Raffle Countdown
It's too much.
PA has gone overboard. Raffles 4 times per year is dumb...they just released new instant tickets too this month...that's on the heels
of the Christmas tickets...they can keep their raffle tickets. I hope this one doesn't sell out either, they may reconsider making
it special again. 4 times per year isn't special....or exciting. As a matter of fact, it hasn't been special or exciting for the last few times
they've run it. $20 a pop is much better spent on a daily 1 x $2

PA Raffle Countdown
I just checked the site and they are saying Under Two Days Left ... at this time as I post this ... there are OVER 2 1/2 days still left before the drawing.
My thinking is a mind set thing ... get people to rush to buy tickets ... make it look like there's less time than there actually is.
I don't know why the PA Lottery is off on their timing for the raffle game when they are able to have the correct time for all the other lottery games.
Could it be panic at Lottery Headquarters ... I

Would you stop playing the lottery if you were restricted to Quick Picks?
From the PB website FAQ page:
WHICH HAS THE BETTER CHANCE OF WINNING: COMPUTER PICKS OR PLAYER PICKS?
About 70% to 80% of purchases are computer picks. About 70% to80% of winners are computer picks. Perhaps just one of those weird coincidences?

PS
I'll say it again, one of the most entertaining things about these forums is that people who claim to be opposed to quick picks can't wait to buy raffle tickets.

PA Raffle Tickets on Sale - Drawing July 11, 2015
GameGirl ... I have a small correction to my earlier figures about what the total raffle prizes actually cost.
I forgot the slight cost of the bonus to retailers for selling the larger prize tickets ... from what I can find out, for selling a million dollar winner a retailer gets $5,000 and for selling a $100,000 prize, a retailer gets $500.
So add $22,000 to my earlier total of:
$5,089,200 + $22,000 = $5,111,200 ... I don't think there is any bonus for the smaller $1,000 prizes.
So

PA Raffle Tickets on Sale - Drawing July 11, 2015
I don't know why there is such a ticket buying frenzy the last few days they're on sale
Fear of Loss.
The same thing happens in Connecticut with their SuperDraw raffle.
Fear of Loss Again.
Be water my friend. Water does not fear the cold or the heat. It is simply a transmutation.
Do the seas fear the clouds? Does the ocean fear the glacier?
To win the lottery or any game of chance you must be like water my friend.
You must let go and let GOD.

Take5 NY
I saw my T5 Buddy first thing this morning and I asked him if he won anything last nite.
He says Nah. I forgot to play. So I said Oh yeah? I hit three numbers for 20 bucks.
Then I told him I was gonna buy a PA Raffle ticket for myself with the 20 I won.
You aint gonna share it with our pool? he asked. Nope. I said.
Eff You was his short and not so sweet response..... Gee, that wasn't very nice of him, was it?
I love it! G5

Florida Scratch Offs - Post Pictures if posible
Due to formatting issues, I cannot post a direct side by side comparison of the odds on the old L4L games compared to the new ones being released. But here are the highlights:
The odds on the non-top prize levels have not changed in any meaningful way. This means that your odds of winning $1,000, $500, $10, etc are about the same with the new L4L games as the old ones of the same dollar domination. The real change is in the top prize odds. For the $5,000 a week for life: The old odds for the

Haven't played much at all over the last two weeks. I bought a single, one and done, $5 frenzy ticket
about a week ago and it was a dud. No urge to even buy another.
I'll start picking up millionaire raffle tickets now. I think I'll probably get about 5 or so. That will be good
enough for me. Looks like PA is coming out with another $20 ticket, all depending on what my feelings
are of it I may not even try the new scratchers.
Great hit on that $2 ticket torment

I stopped at the beer store and bought 3 of the $10 Super Frenzy tickets, 5 of the $2 Hot Streak tickets and
got 3 Megamillions quick picks, 1 cash for life quick pick and 1 match 6 quick pick.
All $40 worth of instants were big fat loser. 8 tickets, and not ONE WINNER. I am so fed up with scratchers. I
won't be buying another for sure until new ones come out, and I can tell you that if the beatings continue I may
just go to playing number games every once in a while and t
