I ran this until I got a million dollar win. I'm fully aware that some people use strategies and pattern verification to pick numbers. I'm a firm believer any influence, even an ape picking numbers could improve the odds. The only reason most wins are from QPs is because most people choose QPs over self picks. Well, the Jackpot as they show it is a (conservative) estimate of wha they expect it to be by the time sales close down. It increases as sales increase because they have to be conservative, as they are advertizing a jackpot bigger than the funds they've already gotten from ticket sales. So they try to estimate how much they think it will sell, and make the advertized jackpot less because nobodies going to complain if they win MORE than the advertized amount, they would if they got less.

Exactly, I'd rather go ahead and stick to the state games. Most you're going to get for 2nd place here is $2M.
