Playing recently drawn numbers to win a jackpot
Some of the numbers I use change each drawing...
I gathered that from some of your posts.
I thought most gamblers do something different when what they are doing doesn't work.
So did I, especially when they're betting on their own skills, or the skills of athletes, or horses. Never really thought about this in relation to random lotteries though.
It's starting to become obvious his gambling knowledge comes from skimming through Catlin's articles.
You really should check out

Hot Lotto Changes
Here's one of the threads that was talking about the changes... https://www.lotterypost.com/thread/257036
For more info, my post...
It ticks me off that they are changing Hot Lotto ... GRRRRR!!! I just started playing this game not too long ago.
If you go to Wikipedia and type in Hot Lotto, you can find a comparison of odds payouts between the current and new game.
At least they are increasing the payouts for the lower prizes. My only hope is that I can win more of the low

Playing recently drawn numbers to win a jackpot
I've haven't played every form of gambling game, but in every one of them I've played, when I bet and other players bet, winning or losing those bets was based on the conditions we set. As I tried to point out to Boney in another thread, gambling is timing and what appears to be a great bet like in the Blackjack example, the bad timing of another player changed the outcome. His reply but over time it equals out , but just like you I wasn't talking about over time.
Jammy is irrelevant

Pari-Mutuel Powerball
Not even close to right. With multistate games only the jackpot prize is a game involving other states. All of the other prizes are completely independent of what happens in other states.
Each participating state collects the money from the tickets sold by that state, and contributes a percentage of the money towards the jackpot prize. For PB and MM it's about 32%. The rest of the money is kept within the state to pay all of the other prizes, the cost of running the game, and profit to the lo

Playing recently drawn numbers to win a jackpot
RJOh,
Are you trying to tell us that states are discontinuing games due to STATE LOSSES brought about by system players beating the odds? If you are, I'd like to see some proof. I think you will find their reasons are not at all what you are implying. A good case in point is the one you brought up, the Massachusetts Cash Winfal game. Syndicates of gamblers took advantage of a poorly designed game and won by buying massive numbers of tickets when the lower tier prizes were inflated through the

if you joined a pool, did you vet the other players for honesty before jumping in feet first?
I run a pool at work. Generally , I dont buy any personal tickets, but there have been a few times when I did.
The few times that I did buy my own, it was for a state run raffle. It had very low odds to win 1 Million dollars. (275,000:1) and not everyone in the pool chose to partcipate because the tickets cost 10 dollars each. So I collected 10 bucks from just those that wanted in.
I bought the pools tickets and my own at the same place and time as I bought the pool's. I then took ALL of t

Playing recently drawn numbers to win a jackpot
BobP wrote: To actually be useful, the information needs to include how many of the game's numbers were also among the set of past draws that had the next draw's winning numbers .
Oh, I see your point now. And I agree wholeheartedly with your conclusions.
That is why I have been emphasizing how many unique numbers are actually in the set of previous drawings that are typically required to cover all 5 drawn numbers. I was trying to be more subtle. You can lead a horse to water, but you cann

Why arent people ashamed when asking complete strangers for money??
If I ever beat the long odds of winning a multi state lottery jackpot, I think it might prove interesting to respond to the barage of letters that will file in once its known. I will have a standard first response form letter similiar to the strategy of what the insurance company did in one of my favorite J. Grisham novels.
Dear Applicant,
Please be advised that your letter was received in good faith, but as you might imagine, there are thousands of others that are appealing for
