What Jammy fails to realize is that things can be BOTH ways, random AND non-random at the same time. With the exception of the very first pick-3 drawing, there is a 65.7% chance at least one of the digits from the previous drawing will repeat. There is 72% chance all three digits will be different too. The reason it is a random drawing is because only one three digit number will be drawn, but that doesn't change the fact that number will either be 1 of 720 numbers or 1 of 280 numbers. Does

Good going omiller on some of your wins..Chris too..and anyone else I missed.. I'm in Westmoreland county and the tickets still stink here.. Not really. I've been picking my own numbers. I picked the numbers that I won with on Friday morning. I live north of NYC and last Friday my wife and I had to drive into Brooklyn for the day, so while I was there I bought the Take5 promotion. Hey you guys!!!! What in the world is goin' on around here?????????? I left town for Massachusetts for three days and look what happened!!!! Lots of weirdo numbers come out! A double repeat! That small percentage is actually about 20 to 30%, and as I said in my first post, many of those players don't choose their numbers randomly. That means there are more duplicate combiantions from that group than their percentage would suggest. Having multiple duplicate self pick lines is part of doing business because that option is allowed and why two players in WVA had several $2 million winning Powerplay tickets. I run a pool at work. Generally , I dont buy any personal tickets, but there have been a few times when I did. The few times that I did buy my own, it was for a state run raffle. It had very low odds to win 1 Million dollars. (275,000:1) and not everyone in the pool chose to partcipate because the tickets cost 10 dollars each. Stack, It's quite possible, and maybe even likely, that QuickPick selection programs are looking at the distribution of tickets purchased in real time, purposely trying to increase the chances of a rollover or reduce the chances of multiple winners. However, when it comes to the drawings, I think manipulation is much less likely, especially in ones using mechanical ball machines. The Rolling Cash5 1 in 9 means 11.1% of all the combinations match at least 2 numbers and if QPs are sold like raffle tickets, 63,973 tickets will match at least 2 numbers for every 575,757 tickets they sell.
