I think it would be extremely unlikely that a winning ticket would ever get printed as a loser. They have to stop the presses and intentionally insert those tickets into the run and no doubt they not only inspected (with close scrutiny) but also monitor. They also publish each time one gets cashed so the public can monitor the games progress. They also have all kinds of disclaimers concerning errors, omissions and typos, so it an accepted part of playing the game. Everyone loves JP game

Frenchie, It is a good filter. I use Lotwin also which covers this. It's called Sum Of Digits (Roots) In MM: 1-1-1-1-1 is expected to hit every 3.3 draws or 30.6% 2-1-1-1 is expected every 1.9 draws or 51.6% 2-2-1 is expected every 9.2 draws or 10.9% Powerball is almost exactly the same odds.

Hi nsv314, It sounds like you would be happy to win the 250K, and as you stated, to have the chance to have a couple chances of winning or save the dollar for next time. That sounds very reasonable. I've been feeling good when I just put down my one dollar like I did today when I bought my MM ticket, can still feel like I'm in the game (try not to think of the enormous odds of winning and always hope for the best).

I like your train of thought. So many people get drawn into spending more and more just because the pot has risen to the occassion. What they're missing, though, is that the odds remain the same regardless of the amount because each newdraw is completely independent from the last. The whole deal with the most recent record-breaking jackpot should be viewed as a prime example of this also. Thanks Coin Toss, Using megaplier increases prize BUT doubles the cost. Back to square one as far as odds go. Example: (round numbers) 1000 scratchers = 240 to 1 chance of hitting $500k 10,000 lines ($2 per line w/megapier) = 390 to 1 chance of hitting $1 million 20,000 lines (without megaplier) = 195 to 1 of hitting $250k One $500k is distributed per 240,000 tickets printed. The grand total is 5 and I think they are fairly good at keeping one in circulation throughout the game. T
