Why Do Mathematicians Consider The Lottery Random
Buying QPs has nothing to do with math..... Every combinations of Lottery numbers is just as likely to come up as any others... most Mathemtician's only advice is not to pick numbers that are all lower than 31, or are sequetial or any other type of shape on the Lottery's game board, etc. to minimize the chance of splitting the Jackpot if you do win.
A triple is just as likely to show as any other number..... straight..... Obviously box combos show up more often than triples.... but any mathem

Mathematics and the Lottery
Hi,
I'll give it a try...*S*
The mechanical odds of the next draw is the same for all three...50/50
The one who stands the best chance based on probabilty will be the one who watched/tracked for the longest period of time. That is because the sample size is larger and should produce a more accurate picture of what is probably going to happen.
The catch on the probabilty side is that it good for bulk events, but has trouble with individual events (like the next draw). Just my opin

Ohio Monthly August!
This is going to sound bitter or maybe angry. I dont feel it but may be perceived this way. When I post here I am just sharing ways I have found, from other people's systems that are used to pick numbers and ones I feel are hot or interesting.
I think posting a bunch of numbers isnt much help to anyone unless the winner is in that group EVERY time. That way you could be sure if your number isnt on that list, well it wont win. Pick another. Unfortunately no one that I have seen can make such a

Hey Boney,
You are correct as far as probability stats vs $$ spent. I do play them on occasion when I feel they are the choice due to hit cycle, but the best bet is always the no match.
Very hard to really improve odds in a random game especially when they've (state) installed those practice draws. I use my home grown program to simulate the actual and if we saw each draw. We would have amazing success if we knew all the draw results!
Can only predict with the tools and info we have.

Thanks Geeweezy!...congrats to you on yours for $20...every bit helps!
I was surprised because I sure didn't expect to win another $100 on a card.
I have had trouble uploading my pictures...can't do it the way I used to, have to click on insert before I get them now.
So I'm thinking something must have happened to a few things on here...another person on another thread said he was having the same problem inserting pictures.
My emoticons are working...see......this is a funny one...ne

Hello, kjing, I just send you a few ideas because you asked me, so when you have ideas, don't stop, pareto's example.
I agree that would test, but think how born the theory of probability = a punter asked blaise pascal a way how to win the majority of times, then pascal began exchanging correpondencia with pierre de fermat, pierre is never ending
Spoke to pascal, is not it brings problems only solutions, instead continued correspondence until Sunrise the odds, has people with more knowled

Stack47 says, I've already reached my 'waste of time' limit trying to explain to Jimmy why it's common to see only 27 to 30 PB bonus numbers drawn in 50 drawings because he doesn't understand cause and effect. Besides we can only get $3 for $1 odds picking bonus numbers so it makes no sense betting on 10 of them to guarantee a minimum loss of $7.
If only he understood the probabilities in lottery draws where the balls are replaced after each draw as well as he understands the probabilities o

Did Joan Ginther have a little help in her 4 lottery wins?
Hi James. Fruitland Park? Wasn't John Marsh the guy (whos photo is on the Florida Lottery BDB winners site) you are talking about who won the $1M and $10M on BDB within a year from - Port Charlotte ? Supposedly bought from the same gas station. How about the other guy in the PanHandle in a very small town who won two huge similar amounts I think within a year.
The Florida Lottery site says there are over 13,000 retailers in the state. Figure the odds of the above happening with all the books

Mathematics and the Lottery
The RB28 hasn't hit in the 270 PB drawings since its last matrix change and yet there are players who still believe the chances of RB28 coming up in the next drawing are 1/39 and is simply over due so they continue to lose money betting on RB28 in spite of the obvious.
Some people are calling future probability random and some are looking at past results which are the true lottery definition of random. RB28 had a 1 in 39 chance of being drawn in 270 drawings but was a no show. In the last 5
