Winning Lotto ticket survives washing machine
CT I once washed $15.00 worth of tickets in a pair of old jeans and go nothing back but fuzz. The paper MO lottery uses would not stand up to much more than a rain drop so this guy beat the odds twice. I think ridge's suspicions are founded because how often do you check the pockets after washing. The Twilight Zone has always been a favorite of mine. RL

Lucky lottery lady outed as Stanford University statistics PhD
you guys want random, play mega millions and powerball Now that is where Luck Rules, even a person specialising in statistics will have a epic uphill fight vs them 2 games however as others have pointed out, the card games are fixed, they just hide where the winners are shipped and when they shipped out in each game i however do like what some states do with play it again, like tennessee all the losers can be entered into a random raffle draw, and 1 winner at end of the gam

Lucky lottery lady outed as Stanford University statistics PhD
I definitely think it's possible for this to more than just pure luck. The whole idea of scratch-offs is to hide the winners in the manufacturing and distribution process. The problem is that they need to somewhat evenly distribute the top prizes otherwise they could lose money, every million tickets or so. It is not purely random and there is definitely some kind of algorithm. So if someone can determine which ranges of ticket books are more likely to contain the top prizes, they buy heavy o

How math can't make you rich and famous
CT I think that the subconscious mind is the most powerful tool in the universe when it comes to random prediction, learn to use it or fall victim to the odds. The conscious mind tends to try and place order to everything but the subconscious works on a different level. If the subconscious can't work it out then feed it more, less complicated data. Math will never slove random but that does not mean that it can't be a helpful tool. RL

I finally figured out how this site works. It seems like all the forums that I subscribe to work slightly different. My internet connection that I have right now can handle the bandwidth for this site. I'll take advantage of it. I've been playing the lottery since the 6/49 game started back around '86, I believe. I had a few minor successes when that game first started with 4 out of six hits, and then my timing was off along with my budget. I can pick sets that can win, but I don't have the

They need to stop advertising the double draw ASAP. That way they don't need to generate funds for something that is a total farce. PA lottery has become too big for its britches....and those britches' pockets are full of money. Am I angry?...Noooooo, I'm just not gullible. I do hope that no one is playing MORE numbers in anticipation of hitting at least ONE draw. Keystone, what are the odds of something like this happening?....in an unrigged environment of course.

The biggest mistake people make is:
In the last 12 months, how many times have all the numbers been calendar numbers? Six. How many in 2011? One. Unless I screwed up my counts. Odds don't look too good to me there. Experts are like software: if they were good, they would win ALL the time, not once every 15 years.

Powerball 28 The Most overdue Red Ball
I usually play only about 5 - 6 games all with RB 28. I don't actually mix em all up into every possible combination that would be thousands of games to play...lol. I just mix em up and make sure I have each of the 20 numbers listed at least once within the 5 games. However if all 5 numbers are within the 20 WB's I selected, my odds of winning a 2nd prize($1,000,000.00 since I play with powerplay) are greatly reduced since it's much easier to to win a 2nd prize choosing 5 winning numbers from a

Could It Be?
Though he said the software can't guarantee a win, it reduces the odds against you by analyzing previous wins to spot trends. But experts say that's a daunting prospect, given that the lottery commission goes out of its way to ensure the numbers are random and not influenced by any other factors. The previous winning numbers will only have a role if the lotto is very careless, said Subramanian Ramakrishnan, a professor of mathematics at the University of Miami. They have a very elaborate
