So bought a few more rolls today
* Green Hornet. Got $225 back. # 054 won $100 . If not for that the roll was dead.
* FMC. Got $210 back. There winners were 2x $50 , 1x $30 and 4x $20. I got this because this was the only roll available. I talked to the clerk and he said he has seen rolls with $1K and $500 or 3x $500 on 1 roll , but he has also seen $600 rolls pay out only $100.
Also got 5x BDB and 5x $20 Monopoly got only $40 back on those.
Today I was basically trying to test

Trying to find an old lottery system
One of the simplest systems for 12 numbers in a pick 6 lottery consists of selecting the 12 numbers by any method you choose (birthday numbers, statistical lottery charts, etc.) and then grouping the 12 numbers into 4 groups of 3 numbers each. You then play each of the 3 number groups with each other which will result in 6 combinations to play. If you are lucky enough to guess all 6 of the numbers drawn by the lottery within your 12 numbers, you have a chance to win at least 3 four out of 6 priz

What is a lottery system? What distinguishes a lottery system from guesses, dreams and quick picks?
Stack47 says,
Nobody said the odds are better by playing a like number of PPs and you agreed they can do no worse.
Jimmy, you're beating a dead horse!
Sorry Stack47, their is no dead horse in sight; it's hiding in the bushes. The claim that has yet to be either proved or retracted is that a certain DDM (Digit Distribution Method) exists that can net the player $Winnings year over year for 20 years at a rate approximately ELEVEN (11) times that expected by chance!
You and your buddi

THE LOTTERY BEST KEPT SECRET=Buying more than one ticket increases your chances of winning?
PLAYING 1 LINE QUICK PICK VERSUS PLAYING 2 LINES QUICK PICK can be illustrated by the following comparisons
AN AUTOMATIC PISTOL VS. A SHOTGUN.
Yes the shotgun is the smart choice. When a shotgun is fired all those pellets that are crammed into the cartridge spread out, so it is easier to hit the target. The point is that when you PLAY 1 LINE QUICK PICK on the lottery is like using the automatic pistol you have to have a very steady hand. You might

The person who missed out on being part of the Albany 7 should not feel bad
It's not far out at all. For some reason most people seem to think that part of the chain of events that resulted in the 7 people winning could have happened differently, so that the 8th person would have been in the group, while leaving other parts of that chain of events unchanged, resulting in the group of 8 winning the jackpot.
Maybe playing my own numbers affects the way I views the results, or maybe it's because as far as I know time is only flowing in one direction, but I figure that e

Guru101, did you not notice the stalemate?
...who cares how many QPs lose....., a one word change renders it, ...who cares how many SPs lose...
Seems to me the QPers do. QPers will when they realize they have twice the odds of losing with a QP.
But thatfact would only bring out more common sense.
Maybe a new T-Sirt for the collection:
Front says: I lose twice as often with Quicks Picks.....
Back says: ...but it don't matter!!!!

What is a lottery system? What distinguishes a lottery system from guesses, dreams and quick picks?
Please note, I did not say that it was better than a system designed for one jackpot. Given the two choices you outlined, both guaranteed to perform as stated, the obvious choice is a jackpot. But you have to deliver that hit!
That I agree with!
Yes, your 2 if 5 wheel is a system.
Now we can decide what distinguishes a 2 if 5 of 56 number MM wheel with 46 combinations using all 46 bonus balls from buying 46 QPs. We know for a fact the wheel will match the bonus number but according

What is a lottery system? What distinguishes a lottery system from guesses, dreams and quick picks?
For me, a system is a program that pick combinations within parameters I choose. If I want all 56 MegaMillions core numbers in 12 lines, it does it. If I want all 46 megaballs in 46 lines, it does it. If I want 10 lines for the next MegaMillions drawing that have no combinations of threes from previous drawings, no sets of sequential numbers, sums between 100 and 200 and what ever else I can dream up, it does it. It doesn't have to be repeatable because no matter how restrictive my parameters ar

Jimboo-boo!!!!!!
What is it with you an QPs? Breathe deep here, and define what you are talking about. Are you referring to QPs as the machine generated numbers for single draw, or any random set of numbers in general?
Oh, and Joan Ginter might have problems with your math. Fact: Joan blew up all your math. Her beating the odds was quoted at 1 in 18 septillion. It looks like this:
1 in 18,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000
In case you don't know Joan Ginter, she received her doctorate f
