group buying
Hi ripcurl. This is an interesting name you have...in a good way. Personally, I feel it's better to purchase in a group depending on and, for several reasons. First, the people with whom you're interested in dealing with must be trustworthy and like-minded when it comes to this sort of thing, okay. In other words, you can't mind losing as a group just as much as you enjoy winning as one. As long as these guidelines are met, then there is much more benefit and advantage to group purchasing in the

Winning Mega Millions lottery ticket worth $319M sold in NY
hopeful its just 1 winner and not some lottery group, The way I figure it is that if I don't have the winning numbers, I HOPE THAT WHOEVER has the single winning ticket is a part of a LARGE lottery pool...make the win overall less dramatic. I especially love that Sargentos 100 pool that won that $200 million Powerball jackpot and each only walked away with less than $1 million each! Somebody said that 7 would be the lucky number...did not roll as one of the 6 numbers but the winning lotte

Seven Albany state workers won $319 million lottery prize
In these winning pool situations I always wonder about the people who were asked if they wanted to get in the pool and declined because: The lottery is such a waste of money . Do you know what the odds are on that? No thanks, I work too hard for my money to throw it away on pipe dreams. I can understand being sensible and realistic but sometimes cheapskates just use that as an excuse to be a tightwad. I never could stand being around a cheapskate.

What is a lottery system? What distinguishes a lottery system from guesses, dreams and quick picks?
history bears out the truth about what works within a specific pursuit about the lottery, and so far after personal observation of 9 years plus of watching the most talented minds postulate daily that they can , no one has. like i have stated before many times over - not even with any consistentcy in a 3 number game, let alone run amok JP odds. if it could be done, it would have been accomplished right here, and it hasn't. so long as the drawings have integrity, they never will. given

Claiming Mega Millions in California
Hello Everyone! I found this forum because I was searching anonymous claims in California, which it looks like I'd have to see an attorney about if we should ever be so lucky as to win. I was curious if anyone had any legal insights as to the alternatives... If we ever won, and an anonymous claim was not an option, we would want our ticket claimed under just my husbands name. Reason being: He has a generic name like Jim Smith, so the odds of him being tracked down are much more slim than if w

What Does It Take To Win (Mathematically Speaking?)
Why Yes, Jimboo!!!!! I am making NO claims. I CAN NOT beat the odds of the lotteries. I will be more than happy to pass along your apology to RL. Being the gentlemen he is, he will understand your deep regrets, renunciation of floundering and obfusication and accept it with a smile. I'm extremely pleased that we could clear this up in such a timely and easy manner. In the future, I'll remember that you are NOT making claims you are merely claiming you have disproved other claims and a

$244 MILLION: Mega Millions lottery frenzy ramps up
You can't use average increase per draw to get an accurate comparison. That would unfairly weight this year/end of last year, when there was the near-record jackpot. If you eliminate that run-up (which is appropriate to achieve a good, valid comparison), then you will find the jackpots are growing roughly the same as before. I don't think anyone (including the state lotteries) knew exactly what would happen after the cross-selling agreement went into effect. It is important when evaluating th

The Color of Money (New Scratch-FL Lottery)
Grabbed about 10 color of money and 5 Silver 7. Color of Money won 4 out of the 10. Two of those hit for 20.00 each, tickets 002 and 005. I hit fresh rolls so grabbed 000, 001 and 002 hit and on the other side of the ITVM had to chase a win 000, 001, 002,003, 004 and finally 005 hit. Silver 7 won 2 out of 5. One for 5.00 and the other one doubled for 10.00 One thing I noticed is the ITVM's are setup now with two slots for Color of Money where 200Million Spectacular were and Silver 7's a

Playing the Extra Dollar on the Jackpot Games
Yes, I agree there's no right or wrong way to play those jackpot games ... everybody has a theory, a gimmick or something. I'll never forget when PA first started the lottery ... there weren't too many games when it started ... they had a Lotto game that went off on a Friday ... I can't remember if there was just one drawing or two when it started ... just one I think ... anyway, I was much younger then and I was convinced I would hit the Lotto game within 5 years ... that seemed like a reasonab

Post your scratch ticket results
I took the last few months off from Florida scratchers due to the high rate of losers I was getting. I got my tax return last week and decided to give them a try again and the results were horrible. Bought 3 of the new Millionaire's Club all 3 losers Bought 3 of the Billion Dollar Blockbuster. 2 losers and 1 broke even with $20 Bought 3 of the $20 Monopoly all 3 losers. Lost a total of $100 in the end. Playing the scratchers with the best odds in Florida is still not paying off.
