2nd Chance Drawings
I was just at the store and checked the trash for any scratcher 2nd chance drawing. S.C. Lottery has a second chance drawing with the $10.00 cash bonanza bonus scratcher. I kept the throw away scratcher and will enter it for the drawing. Will be looking for more from now on. Looks like I can enter the ticket online for the drawing. Save postage
Has a nice prize level for the drawing.
1 winner of $1 million
5 winners of $50,000
100 winners of $1,000
Looks like just as good of a de

Maybe this could work: Just trying to help. LP could win Jackpots
But there should be an association of 77,000 members not talking about an LP just volunteers anyone who should contribute $100 or whatever amount for 1 year, and the 400 million collected be placed in the bank and the 6% earned interest or 25 million dollars every year, and they should go after scratchoffs and the ones they win, they summon the poorest or people in affliction and raffle the scratchoffs among them...Because tell me how a disabled person with no legs supposes to win the scratchoff

Florida Lottery Pink Flamingo Day - June 22
I saw this on the Florida Lottery website for any of the Florida members here:
Florida Lottery Pink Flamingo Day - June 22
The Florida Lottery is celebrating Pink Flamingo Day in style at our district offices between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on June 22. In celebration of Pink Flamingo Day, players who bring any five non-winning Florida Lottery tickets to a Lottery district office will get a free T-shirt. In addition, players who purchase a Firecracker MILLIONAIRE RAFFLE ticket at a di

How does "Win for Life" games work?
Well, I finally got clarifications about the Win for life game. Here's the email that I sent and the reply.
Edit: You can't Copy and Paste on these forums for some reason.
Anyway,
The Michigan Lottery PR said that the prizes are guarenteed for life like the prize says. Win for Life really means Win for Life . And the Maximum transferable years is 20 years. Now I know that this is the best dang prize ever in the lottery. You don't have to worry about tons of money in your bank

Illinois Lottery Club
I run one at my work, so I know it's legit. It started with me and a coworker I shared my office with, then it expanded from there and now has 12 members. All money goes to buy a mix of Powerball and Louisiana Lotto tickets. I collect $4/each from the members every 2 weeks on payday, and buy a mix of numbers the members selected in quickpicks on multidraw tickets that cover all 4 drawings until the next payday. I go the multidraw route so I don't have to keep running to the store to buy tickets.

Countdown to Powerball in Florida
I just picked up the pamphlet the Florida Lottery has on Powerball at the stores. The odds are off the charts. Makes me wish I had purchased more Millionaire Raffle tickets. I realize this has been discussed already, but seeing everything spelled out for me in a brochure about the game makes me wonder why I'd play PB instead of Lotto or FL Mega when the odds of winning even the second prize are higher than other Florida games I haven't won. Still, if your dream is to win a huge jackpot, you prob

Tenn. Lottery CEO blames lagging sales on Powerball
I'm sure they know what you're saying. I understand the lack of confidence. But some questions...
You really don't think Powerball and the economy don't have something to do with it? Not every state is booming, many are seeing a drop in sales. People do turn to the Lottery as a way out in tough times, as long as they have money to spend. Eventually they shut their wallets, which is what we're starting to see across the board.
Why ball drawings for everything less than 10 numbers? Do you t

DOJ says privatizing state lotteries illegal
Excellent point, KY Floyd; the laws you reference can be found under Title 18 of the United States Code which, ironically, also contains the RICO statutes.
During our four-year investigation into the Hoosier Lottery and their crooked practices, LosingJeff and I were told by three different Indiana law firms, What you have is probably sufficient to convict on at least three RICO predicates (Wire Fraud, Conspiracy to Commit Wire Fraud and Misappropriation/ Conversion of Public Funds).

Gas For Life - Florida Lottery
I originally started to post this in the scratch-off forum, but I then realized this isn't a scratch-off game at all! It's more like a weekly raffle. The cost for each ticket is $5. There will be 8 weekly drawings with one weekly $250,000 grand prize, five Gas For Life ($52,000 cash) second prizes and fifty Gas For a Year (26 $100 prepaid gas cards) as the 3rd prize. I've seen this game advertised and there are big signs at the retailers, but I never paid much attention to them. I already spend

$85M sought for "defective" Virginia lottery tickets
I agree with RJOh that it's the structure of the game. I would not call it fraud unless nobody won the top prizes. Up to means that even if you win, you might still get a smaller prize amount.
I think most people who buy scratch tickets are aware when a game has been around for a long time. Still, that doesn't mean there isn't a nice prize still available.
These aren't raffle tickets, they're scratch tickets. If there were no prizes at all left, then it would definitely be fraud. But the
