What Changes Do You Expect With Lottery In 2008?
That was going to be my answer! LOL You beat me to it, Spy! I hope FL doesn't add any more games. I wouldn't mind if they dropped the MegaMoney, however, and substituted some kind of little lotto type game like a 6/39 or even a 6/42 game. There were more winners when Lotto was 6/49 (now 6/53) but not as many rollovers. I think they will continue to sell raffle tickets since they've been very successful and sold out again on Christmas July 4. I wonder if they'll have a $50 scrat

what game does your state NOT have that you wish they did?
I think Michigan should drop out of the Mega Mill and just have a 6/46 $2 game and go back to ball drawings. It takes months for the classic 47 to build to a decent level and it might go 3 times a year...boring. While Michigan has been a member of megamillions for 11 years now there has been only one Jackpot winner that was outside the Southeast Michigan area and that was in Traverse City...all other Michigan winners have been in the Southeast corner of the state...boring. Why

NC lottery to begin Pick 3 midday game in spring
The North Carolina Education Lottery wants to begin a midday numbers drawing early this spring. Lottery executive director Tom Shaheen says the Pick 3 drawing would be performed identically to the numbers drawing held every night. The midday drawing would be held Monday through Saturday. Shaheen says an extra daily drawing would raise more revenues while giving the lottery another opportunity to attract players. Shaheen didn't give an exact start date to lottery commissioners hold

Idaho Raffle
I've been coming up with excuses to buy more, too. It's my Christmas present to myself. I've spent $100 for a chance at the St. Jude's dream home, and top prize is only worth $350K. It's not out of line to spend that much for a chance at $1,000,000! If tickets don't sell out, Idaho may not have another raffle. Gotta buy another to help sell it out. Anybody have more justifications I could use?

Couple nearly victims of lottery scam
According to the U.S. Postal Inspection Service, consumers send $120 million a year to those running bogus lottery schemes. Mrs. Gadwah said she bought a ticket several years earlier, which made it easier for her to believe she'd won. Honestly, I don't think I'm scam-proof, but I have little sympathy for these people. That statement doesn't make any sense. Even if I got something in the mail telling me I won the Florida raffle, I'd wonder how that was possible. Yes, I did buy a ticket in

Lottery Marketing
Some states market more aggressively, sure. There's no marketing more aggreesive than when a state is trying to start a lottery though. Lately Illinois has been running a lot of radio ads for the raffle. The billboards or ads you mentioned don't really affect my play, the only time I play more is if a jackpot is up, up, up. Don't forget a lot of advertising for the lottery is trying to target new players, for the most part they know they've got the regular players. Trying to get th

Maryland Lottery Countdown to Millions raffle results
UPDATE; I went to my favorite lottery store.....and they sold one of the $50,000.00 winners in the Count Down to Millions raffle, to one of the regulars. I'm so happy for her. The store has now sold two big wins in the lastmonth or so, the 1.1million multi match and now this. I hope that the luck of the draw continues to spead around to the regular patrons, including ME! Four4me: the first drawing in January, I brought 4 tickets off of winning from the lottery also. Good Luck ev
