I'm not exactly sure what point you're trying to make... Yes, the odds are 1 in 9,366,819 . The probability per ticket is 3 in 9,366819 . Apparently the Florida Lottery thinks you can change the odds just by how many lines you play. Not so.

I believe I have broken the odds down into my favor of the three number hits that I get in take 5,they are no longer one in 103 I play 70 games at the end of the week and I'll hit three numbers 2 to 3 times I believe I've broken down those odds in my favor,

The Pick 5 straight pick is a far better play instead of the midday Fantasy 5. Pick 5 has 1:100,000 odds at winning $50,000 but no secondary prizes. The midday Fantasy 5 has 1:377,000 odds at winning between $60,000-$80,000 but you have secondary prizes. The evening Fantasy 5 game is still viable but the top prize is about 25% less than the prior version with one draw.

So the odds don't change , but there are odds for everything possible within the lottery and you can choose to play at one of those odds positions and by doing so be playing at better or worse odds of winning then the person ahead and behind you in line.

In the current format of Mega Millions, there are only 24 tickets that can match all 5 white balls and miss the gold ball. Since there are 302575350 total tickets, the exact odds are calculated by 302575350/24 = 12607306.25 (and rounded to 12607306 for the published odds).

The odds do not change regardless of how many tickets you purchase. What does change is your chances of winning. The more tickets you buy, the more chances you have of winning a prize. Odds and chances are totally different things. This is what some people don't get...
