I understand what you say and but what I do is put together 6 key numbers to wheel and play box which does create a 20 set chart. There are 720 numbers straight that create 120 box sets and if i am able to break it down to most overdue and most likely to hit than it gives me a greater chance to win. Why on earth anyone would need software to track cold numbers in Keno is beyond me. For the Keno I described, software will do you no better than just sitting there, tracking, and I have found that 'cold' one day means absolutely nothing the next day. Even 'cold' in a 2 hour span means nothing, as the ebb and flow of the game changes dynamics about every 60 games or so. The only prudent choice would be the low risk/high pay. The other choices would not add up in the long run. I just can't see why anyone would choose low risk/low pay. If you're going to choose low risk anyway, why not play for high pay? That's like saying... The article is short on information...but it does say that a human error caused the malfunction. That makes it sound like the error was made by the system operator ... but data center people shouldn't be having anything to do with setting game parameters like those at issue here. That leads me to believe it was a programming error - the kind that would show up in any basic quality assurance test. Both GTECH and the State (VA likes ot operate their own system) should have caught this.
