Probability of winning with multiple tickets
The easy way to understand the difference is from the end of Tucker's last post...
4/500,000... this is where probability stops... one ticket gives you 4 favorable outcomes to the 500,000 possible outcomes. This is the reality of any game. Only here we have 4 top prizes instead of one.
1/125,000... this is where the Odds are... which is favorable outcomes to unfavorable outcomes. He is correct in performing the division here because for every favorable outcome there are 125,000 unfavorab

It looks as if the $5.00 MM ticket is doing poorly.
While there are games that cost more than $5..... $10 scratchers, $20 scratchers, $50 scratchers, $20 raffle tickets, etc., the difference is that in those games, you have a vastly higher chance of winning a large amount of money.
The problem with the new $5 MM is that they didn't change much of anything. It includes the multiplier for lower prizes (instead of giving you a choice to pay the extra $1). They included a 10X possibility but re-arranged the other multiplier odds to give you preci

$944 MILLION: Mega Millions lottery jackpot set to make holiday wishes come true
Well, first,..
The discussion is on THIS web site. The top 25 list I talked about is a list this website puts out and it covers the Major US lotteries.. PB and MM
Secondly, No other lottery I know of has anywhere near teh number of pre tax cash value prizes in the top 25 compared to MM and PB
The Spanish elGordo is a raffle' with a winning ticket worth 4 million euros per first division ticket (That's the full ticket, not the usual tenth ticket most people buy).. (Total prize pool i

What would you do with the money? $135,000 isn't so life changing, especially after Uncle Sam takes his share.
That's a question a few folks in my family have asked me, and I realized something when they said it, and that's that they're right to a certain extent. Depending upon one's financial situation, it could be very life changing. I have a mortgage, it's not overly big, so even after federal income taxes were taken out of my total winnings, I could pay off my mortgage. Even though my m

Oregon man wins two prizes for life in one drawing
Enough money for two lifetimes
By Kate Northrop
An Oregon man is set for two lifetimes over after winning the top prize twice in the Oregon Lottery's Win for Life draw game.
Zane Collins of Brookings is a double-lucky lottery winner who usually plays the odds twice each time. His uncommon strategy has paid off to the tune of $2,000 a week for the rest of his life.
I thought that if I win once, it's way better to win twice, Collins told the Lottery when he claimed his prize at L

Yes, the C4L 3rd prize also doesn't interest me ... I don't want to be too much off topic here since I was originally replying to the other poster ... who thought playing MM and PB was the best way to win a million dollars.
I was just pointing out that 'going by the odds' ... in my opinion the C4L game has the best odds for winning a million dollars with a two dollar ticket ... not talking about any raffle tickets or other games. I posted earlier the odds for a 'second place' win with C4L, MM

2019 lottery resolutions/ goals
This year I managed to cut way back on my Multi State Game playing and hope to make it through 2019 without buying any multi state tickets at all unless there are good changes coming next year in those games.
As far as the Classic Michigan draw games I plan to cut way back on buying tickets for those (6/47, Fantasy 5) unless there are good changes coming next year in those games.
Right now, Michigan does not have any good scratchers and I plan on not buying any next year unless a rea

Connecticut Lottery to re-draw raffle Tuesday
As a Super Draw raffle ticket holder whose tickets were included in the first drawing, I'm glad that I'm getting a second shot at the one million dollar top prize. (None of my three tickets were winners in the first drawing)
That said, I agree with The CT Lottery, there is no good/perfect solution to fix this mess. Had I won the top prize of one million dollars in the first drawing, and they voided that drawing due to their mistake, I'd definitely sue. I'm sure too that a class action lawsuit
