Dead_Aim's Plays P4
$30 PER DRAWING (if you play all those #s STR and BOX, or $15 PER DRAWING if you use the doubles rhythm method ($60/day or $30/day when using Mid. Eve.) is quite expensive unless these #s hit in your state every few days. Without seeing how the charts are generated (trade secret?) I cannot try a backtest to see if it's worth putting up that much money. I'd love to see a few things that might not violate the secrecy of the algorithms which would be: 1. Instead of a chart of 10 or 15 #s, with

A&E lottery show

That's very true about dice, but there are only 36 possible combinations.
Now what if we tweak your example, take the next 15 rolls let's say, and look for that exact sequence of numbers to roll again- isn't that'w what we're doing with looking for sets of lotto numbers to repeat, (but on a much grander scale of course).
The game I track more than other is illinois Little Lotto (5/39) I've tracked it every night for three years and have yet to see a repeater.

Change in Penn. Lottery scratch tickets removes shortcut
Regarding the post about the name "Patel" winning a lot:
That is interesting. It looks like from the lottery website's winner's lists that some Patel's with the same first name and location are winning mid-level scratch game prizes ($1000 winners for example) more than once per month. The same first and last name(s) also appear in more than one month. This means one of two things:
1. The same first/last name Patel's are spending a HUGE amount of money buying these tickets (the odds for a $

Realities of winning the lottery
Your basic message that it's very unlikely to turn a profit in the lottery is something that almost every one already knows. Running the model is interesting but the odds and the prize structure already tell us what we can expect. Lotteries usually pay out 50 cents on the dollar, and I expect a lot of people think that's about what they can expect to get back over the long term. The reality is, as you've noted, that even pools that buy an enormous number of tickets are very unlikely to win the j

Probabilty of Someone Winning a PB & MM Jackpot in the same Week!
Ky Floyd
I guess I can, and for me it doesn't seem hard to understand.
Of course, it doesnt, for you, because after all you've seen mathematical proof that the uncle and his niece will one day be the same age.
No offense Floyd, but when anybody tells me lottery odds are not based on possivble combinations, that's all they've got to tell me about the lottery.
And I'll try to get away from that person before they start telling their stories about the wonderful time they ha

Are QuickPicks a waste?
My numbers have the exact same chance of hitting as any other set of numbers. Please don't play my lucky numbers. I don't think anyone has the nerve. Here they are:
1,2,3,4,5 and bonus 6
Your assessment of the odds is spot on, but I'm wondering if you're being tongue in cheek about this. The vast majority of people would never play that combination, but there's a very small minority who will. Because the overall number of people playing the lottery is really big, that very small mino

Lottery winner followed careful spending plan
The thing I need to figure out is what algorithm he used. He hinted that he took the 15 numbers that came out the most in the last 6 months, which is a very basic frequency count, and maybe he used one of those balanced wheeling systems, as even with his system you would face huge odds to match 5 out of 15 plus the bonus (? out of ?)...
I grabbed an old data file from 2005 and tossed in a special PB loader into my big program and tested for that drawing. It was 39-24-05-28-07 Powerball: 36. T

Play to lose!!
Because the odds are better !
They pick 20 numbers out of 80 and I have to get at least 6 of them to win $10. Woop-te-do. It is much more difficult to pick 10 of 20 out of a possible 80 than 10 of 60 numbers that WON"T hit, see what I mean?
I have been tying to win for a year and I found that I am much better at picking losing numbers. If they offer a prize for losing numbers, why not take advantage of it? as for turning a profit-if I can triple my bet consistently that would be fine,

Play to lose!!
Coin Toss,
Yes you are right, but the game I'm playing pays out a total of about $16,000 per day to losing games as opposed to the 6/10, 7/10/ and 8/10 winning games. only about 3 people win the 8/10 game every day and thats $300 each. But very difficult to hit 8 of 20 drawn numbers out of 80.
I was just noticing that the smartest way to play pick 10 is to try to lose because the odds are better...to pick 10 of 60 not drawn numbers seems like it would be easy no? well, it ain't! Easier
