Some lottery winners missing their jackpots
The story called it a happy ending but someone died in there. The guy reading the paper didn't have such a happy ending.
I caught that too. Poor choice of words I guess.
You won 5/5 ?? Then you won a pick-4 straight? Good job!
Although people on this board always say don't tell anyone when you win this article is why I think it's important to trust at least one person. I mean, what if I put the ticket in a safe deposit box and while I was making plans to move, got into a

N.C. lottery sales up, but misses projections
North Carolina lottery ticket sales fell short of projections in the past few months, but officials say conditions are improving.
One of the lottery's holiday-themed games, $1 Holiday Cash, is about to sell out of its 6 million tickets. The holiday raffle, in which players buy a limited number of tickets for cash drawings, is outpacing sales of similar raffles in Georgia, Tennessee, Virginia and South Carolina. In recent weeks, sales of new games appear to be up.

Lucky Lotto Picks System by "Pete Egeler"
this is my first real exposure to a group of people who think that they can make a profit playing the family of games that offer the worst odds on planet earth (lottery).
According to you those games offer the worst odds on the planet but apparently the two guys I know who won $10 million a piece and another guy that won $100,000 didn't know that. If you need to win a jackpot to make a profit, I agree with you but jackpot games offer secondary prizes and with a good playing strategy those s

Info On RNG'S
Not at all. I want ball drawings because any layman can see or measure or detect problems or fraud.
That's why computerized drawings in California, Kansas, and Tennessee had problems that festered for weeks and in some cases months -- before PLAYERS in each case detected problems by looking at the poor probability of the bad drawings.
That could never have happened with ball drawings -- and HAS never happened.
The vast majority of lottery players who discuss this issue here and on othe

Hoosier Lottery
I'm very surprised that the Hoosier Lottery hasn't made a press announcement about their new record breaking jackpot. Does that strike anyone else as odd?
In addition I was able to confirm that they do not post the Cash Value of the jackpot anywhere. Not on their site...not at the retailers...a customer or retailer can't even get that information from a lottery terminal print out. They told me the reason they don't post it anywhere is because it's based on ticket sales. They would not of

Maryland Lottery Countdown to Millions raffle results
not trying to start a problem, but where did you read or hear this
MSLA can release numbers like...625,000 tickets sold
They only sold close to 300 thousand tickets. And were supposed to sell only 420,000 tickets
IF it's any consolidation i didn't win either with the 2 tickets i bought for this drawing. One ticket did come close #110783.
regardless of the fact that we didn't win 812 lucky people will get paid some portion of the loot.
yes i agree the ticket is expensive however

6 Disturbing Lottery "Trends"
1. Is a problem. WA.OR and BC are now computerized even though most players are against it.
2. I hope MM goes to $2/ticket. Might actually have a real jackpot for a change. The dollar isn't worth what it once was.
3. Providing more money can go to the jackpot and not the state I have no problem with a lower prize level. I'm playing for the jackpot anyways.
4.This is america. Get used to the government not having the intelligence to make state lotteries tax free, like Canada, Europe, Aus

Time running out for $1.4 million lottery ticket
There may be millionaires among us, but their luck has an expiration date.
A Minnesota Lottery Gopher 5 ticket worth $1,489,175 is out there somewhere, and the holder has only a few days left to claim the prize.
Handing out checks is my favorite part of the job, said Clint Harris, executive director of the Minnesota State Lottery. I'd like to do that one more time before the 17th.
That's when the ticket with the winning numbers 4-12-13-24-35 will expire, one year after it was drawn

Is it legal to resell florida lotto tickets
Stavros:
I suspect you are correct. However, as you and I have seen over the years this scenerio can have some unforseen outcomes.
Suppose the holder of a ticket was to sell it to a friend because he was experiencing a temporary funding problem, or he lost his job and needed to buy food or any number of other set backs requiring some instant cash. Further, lets say they he had 5 of the raffle tickets at $20 each to sell and sold them at face value for $100. No let us complicate the issu
