While I agree with you about the improbability of the Lottery intentionally pulling/destroying jackpot tickets, what bothers me is that they do pull/destroy tickets and don't bother with the rather simple task of scanning those tickets before destroying them so as to remove any winners from the available pool. Sure there will be an initial cost of developing a set of machines to quickly remove the scratch-off material and scan the tickets, but it'd be an almost imperceptibly minuscule expense fo

It is a rule based off the rule of a min payout per book. If you look at a game it has to payout a min percentage and based off a couple more rules like number of losers in a row and number of tickets a book there is a predictable range in number of winners per roll.
Each game is inherently different, but think of it this way.
$30 dollar ticket 20 tickets per book
I'm a computer program and I have to payout 290 dollars in a book min. My options for doing this include 30, 50, 6

pick 3: You can control the probability distribution of your winnings
that's a lot of odds, makes me dizzy but if it works for you, I once used a 36 number box group not hard to figure out, there 36 boxed combinations using one number , not counting doubles. that way I pick one number to hit , play 36 or 18 bucks win 80 or 40 if number falls. I will do 0's for ya, so you understand.

How can I work out these statstitics...
Playing one line for 10 games gives you the best cost to coverage ratio. A few years back I went
over this in great detail showing why it's so. The difference is very small so it's not really worth
basing your play on that alone. In a nutshell the more lines you play the better the overall odds.
If playing more than one line then go for as much coverage as your budget allows. One simple
method to do this is to play all the numbers in the fewest lines possible. A 5-39 can be covered

After cashing in my $1,000 winner on the Holiday Gifts Game, I bought 2 Holiday Gifts from the district office. Found a $100 winner on #5. #6 was also a $20 winner. Another guy in the district office bought off the same roll, and apparently out of the 10 tickets he bought 6 of them were winners with him profiting about $80 in total. That roll seemed to be very hot in the beginning, but I refrained from buying more because I anticipated duds.
I profited $100.

I'm new to this Game...AND frustrated!
Ron ... interesting results and more fuel to the discussion of RNG numbers over bouncing ball number picks.
When I did play the Pick 3 many years back ... I never played the Pick 3 afternoon game after it started ... only the Pick 3 evening game.
So looking at your above results posted ... perhaps more reason to avoid RNG games ... especially if a player is talking and spending their own money against such a huge house advantage.
Has the RNG chip been programmed to not allow many triple

The secret to winning lottery with Scratch off's
You can beat them and I have beat them. For example the the people who work for Gtech are not the most savy people ever. There is a new game they put out in the state that is literally the highest paypout ever. The problem they don't realize with the game which doesn't impact them in terms of bottom line is that the payout is so high and there is a guarenteed high payout ticket in each roll. With calculating odds you have a about a 58% chance to win money if you start on ticket 000 and buy upwar

This morning I thought I would mix it up and get one of each of a bunch of scratchers.
$25 $10,000,000 Fortune = loser
$25 Florida Cash = loser
$20 Gold Rush = loser
$20 Super Millions = loser
$20 Flamingo Fortune = loser
$10 Gold Rush = $15 win
$10 Flamingo Fortune = $20 win
$5 Flamingo Fortune = $5 win
$5 $250,000 Cashfall = $30
I think I need to give up on the $20 and $25 tickets as the odds are just not holding true.
