I asked what crime they committed, not what they were accused of. Larceny is a broad catch-all encompassing a number of different things. The only one of those things that comes close to matching the specifics of this case would be obtaining property by false pretenses. The problem with that is that they obtained the winning tickets simply by requesting and buying them. While the sales process was flawed, the bigger issue is the ability of lottery machine operators to buy tickets from their own retail location. That should not be permitted. While that wouldn't necessarily prevented this situation, it would have raised the bar somewhat. Retailers have detailed information that the public at-large doesn't have. I bought two Extreme Green Scratchers during my lunch break at work on Thursday and won a free ticket. Redeemed that ticket and the $20 prize from #19 above for two more this morning at my neighborhood store. Long story short, Saturday morning I got a PM from an LP member showing a screen grab of a lottery program that showed results from future dates for the Florida Cash 3. Needless to say, if those results were accurate, that would be a heck of a great thing to have, yes? Because even though they have the upper hand, they are greedy and want more. Why do they only pay 50% of the odds in p-3?
