You can further reduce combos that are most likely to show most of the time. One example in addition to the one you wrote about is the last SUM. If you have 10 combos to bet on, rule out any that have the same sum as th last winner. Another which is back pairs. Back pairs are only 00-99. If you can regularly figure out which back pair will win, it becomes a no-brainer. So that's only 100 combinations(back pairs) to deal with instead of 1 in 1,000.
