If it were easy, lotteries wouldn't make money 85% of combinations in 6/49 (11,872,042) will match one or no numbers in the drawing. The probability of any 2 given numbers showing up in a drawing is equivalent to you matching 2 numbers on your ticket. Every drawing is independent. Thus, the probability of matching 2 numbers two drawings in a row is simply the above probability squared. For 6/49, there are 1,851,150 possible 2-number combinations. 1,851,150/13,983,816 = 0.132378. This is

Monopoly Millionaires game
Since no one answered your question ... I have limited knowledge of the mystery game myself. Are you talking about McDonald's Monopoly or the $5 game? I would suppose someday ... if the new game continues to lose money, then they might pull the plug on it. There are still more states waiting to join in 2015 so I imagine it will go on for the new year. Perhaps 2016 will be another matter ... I really don't know how long they can operate the game at a loss, somebody is going to have to keep put

The Lottery Was Not Created For Poor People To Play
Numbers game From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Numbers game, also known as a numbers racket, policy racket, Italian lottery, or black pool, is an illegal lottery played mostly in poor neighborhoods in the United States, wherein a bettor attempts to pick three digits to match those that will be randomly drawn the following day. Audit: Stores buying Michigan lottery tickets from players
You keep saying the retailers didn't report their winnings, but their winnings were reported to the IRS on a W2-G when they cashed the tickets. It's pretty obvious some didn't buy all the tickets just based on the volume, but it doesn't prove they bought them at a discount so someone could avoid back taxes, child support or whatever. And you're correct, it's not complicated because there is no W2-G issue on tickets valued undered $601 and without a paper trail impossible for the Michigan a

1st post...
Firstly, the Powerball drawing, which still uses the traditional bingo like balls, is held in only one location, so the particular state one plays in makes no difference in regards to hitting the jackpot. The biggest factor for the states lead in the jackpots is the number of players in them who participate - it's no surprise California and New York are at the top. However, this does NOT effect the odds of winning one bit; it's meaningless. Same chance of winning no matter what state one play

Weekly Multi-State Raffle
I got one so far. Will get a few more here and there. As i understand that new MMC game I am attracted to that raffle portion of it. When/if it gets up in the 50-60 Millionaire prizes I may just throw $100 on it. A few years back here in Jersey they ran a cash 5 promotion. It was buy 5 cash tickets on a single ticket and you get a free entry into a special $500k raffle. Trying to boost sales. They only did it one time. I will look at that Quinto game/odds. Someti

Lottery Post Founder featured in John Oliver HBO segment
God, there is nothing worse than smug, sanctimonius dimwits like John Oliver. With nonsense like what he said you always inevitably get the people that think they are smart by saying the lottery is a tax on the poor and the stupid. These are the same people that then go spend $5,000/yr on cigarettes and another $10,000/yr on alcohol. The fact of the matter is there is no other investment that you can spend a buck or two on with the potential to make hundreds, thousands or even millions on. With

Texas: 11/1 - 11/30/2014
Good Saturday Morning Lone Star Players! I see we've had a lot of good action yesterday. Congrats to all winners. Well, Let's see.... From a short-term view, some standouts to me are p2 where we are just coming off of aa prolonged period of low digits and the trend looks like it's just now reversing to high and odd. That being said, digits 6 8 are due to return in p2. Another interesting fact for all you Sum watchers is that we've had 4 Sum 12s in the last week! I think I'm going

Hoosier Lottery $20 Lucky 7's Value Book Scratch Offs
So I am am driving through Indiana and stop for gas ( I live in Illinois) and notice in the gas station the $20 Lucky 7 Value Book. The ticket claims 75% payback. In each book you get 6 tickets for the price of 4. I guess they claim it is sort of like $5 tickets but honestly the book plays like a $20 scratch off. The payback percentage for a scratch off is actually pretty good. I noticed that there were still 2 out of 6 top prize tickets left worth $250,000. I decided to buy 5 books worth $100.
