Post your scratch ticket results
I'll use the newest ticket, which seems to have decent odds for a $10. There are 10 top prizes of $300k:
Odds of 300k on the newest $10: 1:780,000
As for the others beyond that
Odds of 1 million on newest $20: 1:1,080,000
Odds of 3 million (biggest jp instant ticket) on a $30: 1: 1,200,000

First thing you would buy if you won $415 Million?
I wish people would stop exaggerating the odds.
No one has ever been eaten by a shark in their bathtub.
No one has ever been struck by lightning while being eaten by a shark.
Several people every year win at Powerball.
The odds are not comparable.
If you want a real comparison, the odds of winning the Powerball jackpot are almost exactly equal to the odds of being struck by lightning in any given 30-hour period.

Scratcher Tickets Poll
You are quite correct. I play scratchers once or twice a week, and I look at the odds on the website, but the fact is the odds don't mean anything if a top prize ticket isn't in the store where you are buying.

Mass Megabucks Doubler
Hey GiveFive while you're in New Hampshire you might want to check out the Tri State Megabucks game. Current JP is a decent $3.6 million and JP winning odds are just under 1 in 4 1/2 million. You're not going to find a game with a jackpot this size anywhere in the US with the odds being as low as they are. Good luck to you with Megabucks Doubler! I'm going to be getting a new subscription myself before their summer promo runs out in early August.

Higher jackpots or better odds?
I play a variety of games. MM PB are generally more exciting so they have that advantage at ridiculous odds. Benjamin Franklin would likely play something with better odds and that said I have my PB tics for Wednesday!

Higher jackpots or better odds?
I voted better odds....that being said.....the point of the lottery is to make money, and the harder it is, the less payouts per sales, and thus more profit. Better odds would mean higher payouts, so the ticket cost would need to be higher to make the same profit.

$540 MILLION: Mega Millions jackpot raised on huge sales
A while ago I had read a story about someone who won two lottery jackpots (Not MM or PB) I think they were both under a million dollars and they stated the odds of that happening was like several billions to one. PCH offers their 5k per week cash for life prize and has yet to pick a winner and the odds are 1.6 billion to one. All you see are the folks who won less than a million during their commercials.

Florida Scratch Offs - Post Pictures if posible
They're wrong. I just emailed FL Lotto to point out they went live with the odds wrong. The numbers on the FL Rules filing figure out to different - more appropriate - odds.
