Why I think quick picks suck
A HUGE majority of the 741 total drawings for that game have either 2 odd/2 even, 3 odd/1 even, 1 odd/3 even. 90% of the 741 draws to be exact.
That's because almost 90% of all the possible combinations have that odd to even ratio. In every drawing there is 10% chance that 4 odd or 4 even numbers will be drawn but that doesn't prove the combination 2-4-7-9 has a 90% chance of being drawn or a even a better chance than the combination 2-4-6-8. The odds of either combination being drawn is 1

Why do you play the lottery?
All of the above for sure.
The most important not listed reason is for the false hope... I play one PB ticket per draw regardless of the Jackpot. I know that the odds are ridiculous but I play it anyway.
I hate the distributed indentured servitude that this country has declined into (too much of your income goes to the evil I's... interest and insurances... and we didn't even get into the skyrocketing fuel costs and soon to be deregulated energy bills to come). I hate being a number in a f

Combinations & % Error Challenge
You're right of course, but that's not the point of the exercise.
The idea is to exchange the chance to win in all draws for a better
chance in some draws by giving up the chance to win other draws.
When we choose the strategy not to play the possible repeat
numbers from the prior draw and are correct roughly 50% of the
time we've improved our chance of winning in half the draws in
exchange for giving up the chance of a jackpot in the other draws.
The fact that cann

Volunteer Work: Powerball winners and a free lotto..how i feel.
a good example is Powerball...Such a game has astronomical odds and yet millions of people sweat and rally at gas stations just for something that will select 1 winner...
another example is Lotterypost.com...The 50,000 memmbers of LP they are all rallying and coming up with theories to win Powerball...
The key for the free lotto for people that volunteer is the jackpot amount...You have to set the right amount and you have to set several of them...Each on in each state...
So many of you

New York - May 1st 08 to May 31st 08
I hope people recall I said to stick with 904 as a sum 13 combo. Unfortunately I chose to go with 911 for my load up play for the night but at least I did have it for $2 straight and 50 cents combo for a $1250 payoff - not bad for a little analysis a couple of months ago.
Now for the question that we numbers players always dread: How much did I spend during the last two months? I said to play it in the evenings and I almost never played it in mid-day and I usually played it the way I hit it l

Quick Question for Wheeling Experts
I realize that wheeling only 4 numbers is only going to give me 4 numbers to play each night (unless I play the doubles also)
Your realization is wrong...Wheeling 4 different numbers will give you 24 distinct singles to play and not 4.
here's why..lets say you pick A B C D...you said only singles so:
ABC ABD CBD ACD
ACB ADB CDB ADC
BAC BAD BCD CAD
BCA BDA BDC CDA
CAB DAB DBC DAC
CBA DBA DCB DCA
the odds are slim for you to guess what 4 numbers out of 10 and you w

CONGRATS RAVEN...
YOU DID IT!
I totally skipped tonight due to a lack of funds for tonights drawing.
I have a feeling the 8 in 1st position is gonna play tricks with us all kinda like the 6 in middle did back in January.
Back then, 6 was out something like close to 100 days before it hit.
And the V4 recently that was out over 20 days before it hit in any position.
It seems almost IMPOSSIBLE.
But I guess that's the nature of odds and rogue trends out of control.

Ga Midday //No digits 0 or 1 for nine draws !
OK..... here's where the rubber meets the road with 2 more big filters.
Looking at the last few draws....notice they are all Mostly to All Highs..... Mostly to all ODDS...
I filtered all those out this time.... and also cut out all the ones that have hit in the last year...and that left only these few below.

So...... from 10,000 numbers down to ...... lucky 7 !
