N.J. lawmakers want full disclosure of lottery prizes
If, for example, there are 8,100,000 tickets printed in an initial offering of a new game and the claimer reads there must be 3 first tier winners of $5million big ones and 1000 winners of $1,000 trickling down to lesser prizes to $5 for total potential sales of $40,500,000 that is $15mil first tier to shell out for 3 winners. If a structured settlement is chosen, it is only $7.5mil to pay out and $1mil for 2nd prizes etc. No one is going to let another say $24mil slide in revenue if the 3 first

Instead, as the new year dawned, the clock began showing the wrong number of days.
It was showing 86 days when James Hawkins logged on to the Web site about 5:30 p.m. New Year's Day.
Although the clock show

N.C. Lottery chief adding new games to overcome revenue shortfall
The head of the N.C. Education Lottery Tuesday urged patience for critics who say the games have fallen short of their first-year sales goal.
Executive Director Tom Shaheen said he hopes to spark sales this spring with two new games and a new twist on a third.
Lottery sales are expected to miss their $1.2 billion goal by $200 million.
Obviously I'm in a business to raise money, and I want to raise as much as we can, Shaheen said after a Charlotte luncheon. But to raise $1 billion the

Virginia Lottery adds Sunday drawings
In an effort to ward off losses to North Carolina, the Virginia Lottery is adding Sunday drawings, starting this weekend.
Competition south of the border will cut into Virginia Lottery profits this year, but new games could limit the losses to North Carolina.
You don't want to sit still and watch that flattening of sales occur, said Sheila Hill-Christian, executive director of the State Lottery Department.
The North Carolina lottery, started last year, could lop profits $50 million, d

Most depressing dream ever
I don't want to be rude or anything, but it doesn't help. I live in California.
10 months ago I had a dream. I saw an old woman and asked her, What about the lottery?
Then she answered, You will win.
4 months later I had a dream. I saw a black man. I asked him Am I gonna win the lottery? Like Megamillion?
And he asnwered, No.
On this February, I had a dream. I met two women. I asked them, When do I win?
Both answered Next week. Instead of winning a lottery, I won
