Little update: it appears i have made a mistake using the payouts... i should not have used the online payouts, but the actual payouts at the store.
So a straight hit would not pay $900 and a box not $300/$150,
they should pay: $500, $160/$80.

One "sure" hit number coming up!
Back in the good old days 2002 or 2003 we were calling the rare numbers by a different name.
They were called Stimulus Picks .....or the White House Stimulus Picks in honor of George Bush's first term in office and the economic program to stimulate the economy. For some reason I couldn't find any other post concerning the great records the Stimulus numbers set back then...... but it was huge.
Yeap.... they were and are great. They still hold the record for hits from those day

MM's low sales
Maybe.
On the other hand, maybe the customers just aren't so stupid as the marketing people believe they are.
No way of knowing whether a big jackpot multi-state game would sell like hotcakes, or wouldn't, if they offered a straight-from-the-shoulder description of what they actually have to sell.
A cash value game, rolls, at least 50 percent of which go back into the next jackpot.
Maybe with the odds just as they are people would buy.
Nobody has tried it.
We probably all agree

All States Midday Picks 7/3
You will observe by looking around at the predictions posted in the threads that there are a lot of people that don't know how to look at the possibilities. You will see strings that claim hits, but to get those hits you would have to play 2,002 tickets! Here is a string: 0123456789. That one will win every Pick 3 and Pick 4 in every state, every draw that is an unmatched number (no 2 or 3 or 4 digits the same). All you need to do is play 220 combinations box!
You will see boxes. A box p

Well ..... I didn't know that http://www.williamhillcasino.com/ was doing this online.
Everyone has known who they are for years and years. Hmmmm .... I don't think this is a webcam broadcast but they certainly have a reputation to uphold however. Listed on the UK stockmarket.

It never entered my mind you might be.
I think my formative years gave me too much protection from that side of things to leave any holes for it to peek through in my thinking.
On the other hand, if I'd thought you were a chick you'd still have been safe insofar as my thinking. Somewhere down the track I had one too many experiences with women that ought to have reminded me sooner of that mule.
I don't think I'm going to spend any more time thinking about odds for a whi

Affirmations, mantras and Hail Marys for the lottery
Surely there has to be a town somewhere in the U.S. with Luck or Lucky in its name.

Re: Kahuna. We had another player, he was a school principal in Hawaii. He always had two ladies with him, and when he rolled the dice they would shake tea leaves at him, all three of them chanting, Kahuna Kahuna Kahuna. They made a show of it, too. He himself was a $5- $10 bettor and no real threat to the house but guys who bet more would wait for him to shoot, he did r

Mega Millions hit again!
The three largest selling states in the last MM draw were as follows:
NY: 2.48M
CA: 2.46M
NJ: 1.42M
Ohio was 4th at 1.26 M. Rounding out the top 5 was IL at 1.44M.

It is interesting that a substantial number of people still are buying MM tickets in CA and NY since they have better in state options. If I lived in either state, I wouldn't buy MM tickets.
The last time MM was over 100M was in April.
That's just how it works. It is almost cer

How an LP major jackpot winner could help lottery players
Quote: Originally posted by Raven62 on June 26, 2006 Administrative Costs for running the Lottery are very, very High, and the Odds of you Winning are very, very Low! Speak for yourself on all counts, Raven.
Unless you are a lottery employee you probably don't have any better idea than I do about what the costs are to them..... I'm betting the m
