Most Bizarre Numbers you have Seen
No...nothing like hacking the computers. It is more like a chess game. I believe that the Lotto computers are able to analyze all the numbers that have been played up to a certain time on Friday(just before they do their security walk through). The lower the amount up for winning the less opportunity you have to manipulate a misdirection ....because there are soo many combinations out there.
But I have been having a little fun the last two months. Take half the numbers. Lock those down with s

Tn tea keno
Quote: Originally posted by retxx on April 23, 2006 I love keno but it it can be rather expensive here in Mass. as we play every 4 minutes from early morning to late night. I might try using your set of missing numbers and see how it plays out for a few games here. Thanks
Retxx did you read about the procedure for the keno drawings in Mass.
Pay special attention to this:
More specifically: There are two computer systems involved in a Keno drawing. The primary computer takes all bets.

Lower prizes Wheels....
Pumpi76,
No, I don't think you can make money gearing yourself towards lower-tier prizes.
For example, in a 5/39 game your odds of winning 3 of 5 is 103 : 1. So you must have a 3 of 5 win on average every 10 picks you play just to break even with a hypothetical $10 payout.
If you look at the Top Predictors page for Pick 5 you will see that nobody comes even close to a 10% hit percentage regardless if they use wheels or not and regardless of the pick 5 matrix they're playing.

Powerball eliminates one 5X's slot...
For all of you who think Powerball is doing a great job limiting the number of winners and the amount of payouts here's a story that will warm your hearts:
Powerball has wisely decided to reduce the chances of getting a 5X's multiplier by eliminating one of the 5X's multiplier slots. In the past Powerball had 5 slots on a wheel to determne the Powerplay multipler. One slot each for a 2X's...3X's and 4X's multiplier and 2 slots for a 5X's multiplier.
Last month Powerball decided to run

Probability of a Rollover in Powerball.
The Powerball jackpot has rolled. The cash jackpot is 80.4M, the annuity $174M.
The last jackpot at this jackpot prize level sold 32.5 M tickets. As is the case in MM, it is almost as if the powerball had skipped a drawing when one views average sales, the sales figure, 29.9M would be characteristic of the average of one later draw. If the same number is sold the probability of various numbers of winners will be:

30.15%
40.01%

I estimate that the probability of reaching a capped drawing is about 15%, of passing it about 5%.

Florida Fantasy 5's New EZMATCH
Pacattack05 says:
It's no fun if they have control of my numbers. That's why I like them to match against the drawing, not against what the computer picks out. You'll never know if it's completely random or not.
Three thumbs down!!!!!

I have to agree Pac! I bought mine today and it convinced me not to buy any more EZMATCH or scratch off tickets. The state got me 1 time with th

Texas Pick 3 is state's top moneymaker
IMHP, Pick 3 is popular because its a stable game; that is, greedy lottery folks can't play around with the odds or change the prizes.
Texas Lotto is failing because of greed. Those with the power to change things have screwed with Lotto so many times that people have lost confidence in the game. Pick 6/50, the original Lotto game was extremely popular. The lotto folks added 4 balls to increase profits. However, players were pissed and looked to other games. When 6/54 failed, lottery fo

Congratulations to everyone who won.
I've read articles by a few lottery experts and one suggestion is never to bet mostly even or mostly odd numbers. Another is to make sure you don't have all high or all low numbers like choose 2 from 1-23 and 3
