I would be surprised if the website of states offering this game doesn't put up some guesstimations of those odds. Surely they wouldn't expect their average players to calculate those odds on their own.

Does anyone know what the odds of winning the Florida lottery are? If the odds are similar to this, I'll never play the monopoly game. $5 per ticket seems excessive when there's a cap of $25 million.

You make a valid point. Move it back to one dollar if the odds are going to increase. Even the common man knows that when odds go up, the interest to invest more goes down.

What are you talking about? It's not like lottery tickets are given out for free. People have to buy tickets with money they earned then they have to beat ridiculous odds. If you bought a ticket and beat 259 million to 1 odds in order to win a jackpot, you earned the winnings in my book.

Odds of winning as stated on the back of the ticket are 1:4.22. About the same as the Classic Jumbo Bucks. For overall prize odds, the morons at GA Lottery forgot to give us that information. I think they're waiting to see how much money they can snatch off people before making that available. Bunch of sillies working there if you ask me.

Yeah, don't make it harder (change the odds again). I would have thought by now we would have seen a record busting MM JP with these crazy odds. I think one the biggest failures with MM is the continued glacial speed of JP growth when the game resets to 15M. 15M is still too low for a game touted as MEGA MILLIONS with odds like this- period. It takes nearly a month for the JP to even catch up with PB's starting point. PB's 40M starting point continues to beat the pants off of MM

Using crowd science to improve my odds of winning
LP is an excellent source of ideas both good and bad. While individuals seldom win a jackpot, it not surprising when one in a crowd wins once in a while. I test and use the best of the ideas of the crowd. So far I haven't had any luck but I think if I live long enough it's only a matter of time.
