$260 MILLION: Powerball lottery jackpot surges
rdgrnr,
You said, My only question then would be: Why are you still here?
Because I'm not as concerned about conditions here in the US as you seem to be. I'm working for change that might move us closer to Norway. Why are YOU still here?
There's your nanny/police state where you barely have to think for yourself cuz the government does it all for you. Womb-to-tomb, just doing what you're told and reaping the discipline and rigid structure you so needily require. Any Lib would swoo

How do pick 3 players even make a profit?
If you want to play, make sure you do your homework and get to know your combinations and what is more likely to draw then not. If you can get 1 digit that is going to play and determine what position it will be in (1st, 2nd, 3rd) you can reduce your 1:1000 Odds down to 1:100 without even eliminating Doubles and Pures.
There are 120 sets of 3 different digit numbers and they draw 72% of the time. Each of those sets can be written 6 different ways. Watch your Repeat digits out of previous draw

Can math and logic improve chances of winning a jackpot?
It doesn't really matter SergeM.
Stack47 is quite astute when it comes to clearly describing the many nuances of combinatorics and their associated probabilities. One of my earliest posts at this website contained a casual reference to the fact that by choosing certain distributions in your betting you could, if you chose to, spread your winnings out over more frequent smaller hits. I've brought it up several times since then too. Nobody commented at the time, apparently because I was also

Should I change things up and buy more than one ticket at a time for draws on games?
Yeah, if doubling your tickets improved your odds by 50% I'd be a very wealthy redneck.
1 ticket = 1 in 176 million
2 tickets = 1 in 88 million
4 tickets = 1 in 44 million
8 tickets = 1 in 22 million
16 tickets = 1 in 11 million
32 tickets = 1 in 5.5 million
64 tickets = 1 in 2.75 million
128 tickets = 1 in 1.375 million
256 tickets = 1 in 0.6875 million
512 tickets = 1 in 0.34375 million
1024 tickets = 1 in 0.17135 million
2048 tickets = 1 in 0.0859375 milli

manual's deviations
Ok, here's the new workout. I'm still using the two that didn't hit but replacing the one that did. If anyone actually plays these, keep in mind that I have yet to win both Mid and Eve in a single day. So the odds are really against me here. More than half of the time, it's been one digit off of one position. Like the gods of randomness are just trying to prove something. ;) In any case, here are the new numbers:
Deviation: 33
Base set #1: 201
+/- 1 wheel: 190 191 192 100 101 102 110 11

manual's deviations
That group of sets I shared a few posts back had a hit. The bad news is that the actual hit was 204. That set was removed from the group when I filtered the nubmers down. I was filtering out all evens, all odds and the first/last 5 sums. I was over $700 in my account so I got ballsy and played the day for $2 a set. Cost a small fortune but the win would've been $1800. Sadly, I saw 2-0-5 but no 2-0-4... So now I'm not filtering my sets anymore. I'm also back to playing off of three base sets. It

Actually I don't even consider how long it's been since a specific number has shown up in a position. I am more interested in getting the digits that will be used and then deciding at that point what the EXACT will be. If you get the 3 digits, you have a 1 in 6 chance of getting the EXACT. If it is doubles, you have a 1 in 3 chance of gettng the double.
Before I play a 50 cent EXACT/Any Order on a double, I will spend 50 cents more and cover all 3 EXACTS
Say you think the 8 is going draw A

Have you at times temporarily abandoned MM & PB for the lower hanging fruit
noise-gate,
Here's the odds and prizes:
MM 5 + 0 3,904,701:1
$1 $250,000 $2 Megalier $1,000,000
PB
5 + 0 5,153,633:1
$2 $1,000,000 $3 Powerplay $2,000,000
IL Lotto
Match 6 of 52: 20,358,520:1
Progresive jackpot, starts at $2,000,000
Since the Illinois lotto jackpot hasn't been getting close to the $12M start point of MM to borrow a term from poker, the pot ain't right .
For states with higher Pick 6 jackpots like NY, CA, FL, OH and others it would be a different

Do some number combinations have better odds?
I think Jimmy is just jealous of people like Gail Howard, who have developed bonafide systems.
Personally in my opinion the only way to get rid of a nuisance is to not respond to them.
However much I would love to read catlin book, and the other 273 posted articles by scholars provided by those proselytizing, I just dont have the time.
I prefer to not be mired with useless information that does not help me to win, but use what little time I have to do a thorough analysis of my game, an
