Do some number combinations have better odds?
I am not making this post for the benefit of Stack47; his Innummeracy is so profound that I don't think it is curable. Hopefully, there are readers here with open minds who can see how he is being tricked (by his own mind.)
When he says, The odds of any group of 28 numbers having a five number match is 39 to 1 and it's a mathematical fact thousands of groups of 28 will match five numbers in five consecutive drawings, he's making the understatement of the thread!
thousands of groups of 28

Do some number combinations have better odds?
Technically although the published odds are better for pick 3 and pick 4, if you think about it logically it is NOT easier.
A pick four game is essentially a 4/40 game.
A pick five game is 5/40
A pick six is 6/40
Logic would have me believe it is easier to get a 4/6 in pick six then it is to get a 4/4 in pick 4.
Why? Because there are two extra balls being drawn, which means two extra chances on my playslip trap some winning balls.
When you play the pick six you shot for 4/6. W

The Powerplay Option
Good find jimmy4164. Aloing with the Powerplay info this should be drilled into every player's mind, 2 tickets per week:
How often, on average, you can expect to win each prize when playing the real lottery.

Phitality 101
I actually have more data on the PB. This with the 3 and 4 just kinda grabbed me back in and i ran with it to where i am now. What I'm doing with the 3 and 4 actually rooted off my PB work.
Same here man. It's taxing when you throw away a decent size win over a stupid insight. And with the way my brain functions at times, with over load, it makes it hard to stay focused.
But on to the subject at hand,,,,
With the spacing, instead of distance in the numbers, you see what is actually goi

I would suggest/recommened that every not spend one dime on the California Fantasy 5 until such time that it is cleared by a full blown Federal Department of Justice Investigation.
1) When looking at the math, their picks are almost always on the statistical fringes in a number of catagoies, rather than being even close to statistical norms.
This is an inference of manipulation.
Given the posts here and the e-mail I know they have recieved, there is a

Lotto Strategy - Odds of winning vs Chances of winning
Correct RJOh,
Another example is the Win 4 Life game. Odds of matching 4 of 6 = 1 : 555.11
This is a 6/42 game with a Free Ball. I do not take into the account the Free Ball, just the basic 6 numbers.
Number of drawings from 03/01/06 thru 01/16/13 is 720 drawings.
Number of drawings matching 4 of 6 of the same numbers, hitting more than once is 545 or 75.69% of the 720 total drawings. I was able to put these 545 drawings into 171 Groups of related combinations.
My contention is th

how to win pick 3?
In CA, the last 5 draws contain the next draw numbers 52% of the time
However, in those 52% of the games, you have to play a lot of unique numbers, the breakout is:
10 unique numbers to play 8.5%
9 unique numbers to play 34.6%
8 unique numbers to play 39.4%
7 unique numbers to play 15.2%
6 unique numbers to play 5.8%
5 unique numbers to play 0.6%
Let's say you want to play only 6 numbers, then your odds are 52% x 5.8% or about 3%.
So if you play only w

Do some number combinations have better odds?
You know no educated mathematician takes the crap Gail Howard writes seriously.
Any educated mathematician would also say that 100 documented winners was a fluke.
A statistical anomaly. A Deviation from the Norm.
Gail Howard Theory is vital to winning a jackpot because she gives good examples of what types of patterns a player needs to look for in order to get better odds
Her promotion of the 0/1/2-5 pattern is interesting, but in my opinion it takes second place to the 0/1/2 - 4 pa
