Strategy for picking your numbers
When I play PowerBall, I play five lines. (Ticket costs $10)
I let let the terminal do 5 Quick Picks for the first 5 numbers on each line, but I manually select the top 5 hitting PowerBalls for all time. (October 7th of 2015 through December 8th of 2025)
The top five hitting PB's for all time are ranked in this order- 4, 21, 24, 18 5.
Sometimes it works and I win a few bucks. ($4) A lot of times it doesn't work and I win nothing. If I match the PB on any one of my five lines and I

Learning disability and the lottery
Do You play ALC drawings online or just at a lottery retailer in person ?
Forget Atlantic49 or 6/49 for now. Those odds are astronomical
Maybe try Keno with 3 or 4 number plays to start.
3 numbers pays $25/4 numbers will pay $75.(Here in Ontario 4# pays $100)
Those have the best odds of hitting. If you do get a hit,
then re-invest into more of the same plays until you build up a bit of winnings to try 5 or 6 number plays.
That's where I would start.
Good luck in

sums de patterns
Well, all the best to you, sir. I would be miserable if my system/filter is churning out a possible 300 to 400 combos to guess which one is a winner.
As a serious lottery player, Id question my life and existence with odds like that.

New Jersey couple wins $3 million lottery prize six months after winning $1 million
That makes no sense. If you buy 1000 PB tickets, your chances of winning go up to 1 in 3 million (assuming you pick different numbers on them).
Picking out the two big winners from a huge stack and then declaring the odds of that being the same as just two tickets is illogical.

New Jersey couple wins $3 million lottery prize six months after winning $1 million
The 1 in 1.2 trillion odds means the probability of buying just two tickets, each of which is a massive winner. That is not what these people did. They bought lots of lottery tickets between the two big winners.
They are very lucky, but not quite 1 in 1.2 trillion lucky.

One Georgia ticket wins $983 million Mega Millions jackpot
You're either a player or not for one drawing. No one is expected to play every drawing.
Only dummies play every drawing. The price and ridiculously low odds make it a terrible bet unless the jackpot gets really really high.

Are you playing Mega Millions with the $5.00 per play?
Seems like what they are counting on is that when the frenzy point begins, the masses that don't usually play day in day out won't care if they're wagering $2 or $5 because the jackpot is enormous. Others here have said they don't usually play or stopped because of the $5 issue but they'll start again when the lump sum amount reaches a certain threshold. It's the same equation just on a larger scale. If jackpot X, then $5=OK to risk. The whole idea behind the MM changes are due to the lotto over

What $5 jackpot draw game would you play?
I would play one that was a decent mix of a scratch off and mega millions in terms of odds. Decent chance at a $10, $50, $100 prizes and then maybe a $1 million prize and the jackpot.
I dont mind the $5 price tag but having almost zero chance of winning your money back is really disheartening at that price tag. If it was like 1 in 9 or better I would consider it a lot more.
