I think one of the best bets in Pick 3 is to wait for 2 or 3 Doubles to hit in a row........ then play my regular numbers harder than normal. The odds of a third or fouth double in a row are sooooooooooo rare.

Powerball (moneyball) or Powerplay
How much more can a Powerball player expect by spending an extra dollar on buying PowerPlay option, as compared to buying an extra PB ticket instead of adding PowerPlay option?
According to ND lottery website, during the promotion period, there will be 16 PP multiplier balls, from which one will be drawn, as follows:
2X : 4 3X : 4 4X : 4 5X : 3 10X : 1
That way, the odds of 10X multiplier coming out in any one drawing until it pops up is 1 in 16. Based on this fact, I could

This has to be pure luck
Lottery history is replete with similar stories. I remember reading several years ago about a woman in Florida who won a jackpot there. I can't recall how much she won, but I believe it was a record amount at the time. Anyway, she chose her numbers from her morning newspaper; she said she just played the first six numbers she saw, and it paid off for her.
Stories like these are only good when people actually win with their off-the-wall methods. When they lose, we chalk it up to their obvious

"Win for Life" giving free tickets
LA,
I think the free QP tickets must have just been a Georgia promotional tool. I know that it wasn't done in Kentucky. The KLC usually waits to see how a new game gets rolling before they do any promotions like that.
I do happen to be very excited about the new Win for Life game for a number of reasons. One very good thing about it is the fact that they didn't go down that terrible RNG road for drawing the numbers. The game is drawn with balls and we can still enjoy watching Mikki Spence

Texas Lottery eliminates Lotto bonus ball
Updated Feb. 28, 2005, 8:02 am
Everything old is new again at the Texas Lottery, where commissioners voted Monday to ditch the unpopular Lotto Texas bonus ball and return to the style abandoned three years ago due to sagging sales.
Starting in late April, players will choose six numbers between 1 and 54 rather than five numbers between 1 and 44 and one bonus ball from 1 to 44. That will return the odds of winning the jackpot to 1 in 25.8 million, down from 1 in 47.8 million with the bonu

New N.C. Lottery ad agency picked after earlier winner withdraws
The North Carolina lottery hired a new ad agency Tuesday to promote its games now less than six weeks from the start after the agency that originally won the job refused to put up a $500,000 bond to ensure its vendors were paid.
The firm Wray Ward Laseter of Charlotte takes over a three-year contract to lead the lottery's projected $8 million a year advertising campaign. Howard Merrell Partners of Raleigh, the top bidder last week, quit a few days after winning the contract Feb. 14.

Lottery can not be beaten!!
I think lottery players can be put into one of several general categories.
A. Don't know anything about the game, don't want to know anything about the game. I just want to win. Here's my dollar! Maybe the computer will give me a winning ticket.
B. I know something about the game, but winning is just luck. I ain't got time to do any analysis. Here' smy buck. Call me if I win.
C.I been playing the lottery for years. I play the same numbers all the time. My numberswill come up one day, be

Powerball lottery jackpot hits record $365 million
Get up and go to work. You didn't win the big one.
The multi-state lottery operators in Des Moines, Iowa, reported today that no one won last night's $300 million Powerball jackpot. That means the jackpot will grow to $365 million for Saturday night, if sales continue along their historical patterns.
If sales are higher than expected, the jackpot could grow even larger by Saturday.
Such a drawing will top the previous record North American lottery jackpot of $363 million. The previous l

one to won
It has been some time since I purchased several One to Won systems and all made no sense to play. When I inquired further I was sent the writer's requirements to submit a system to One to Won for publication. The main point was the system start with a drawing and progress through at least three steps to an outcome. That the system actually win prizes was not one of the requirements. When you understand probability, most systems should play at house odds so there will be wins, playing at a pr
